You may have that gap when using the 3M tape to secure it to the bumper. It's probably gapped due to the width of the tape sandwiched between the bumper and the lip. That's why BMW recommends the use of the Betalink adhesive for a flush fit. However, we do realize that some of you guys may be on a lease and don't want to "permanently" affix the lip to your paint.

hey jason, i got my aw lip a while bak, just havn't had the time to install, hehe, but now i wanna install, but where do i apply the betalink to secure the lip? i dont wanna overdo the glue n stuff and place the goo everywhere! is there a guide to show me what pts to hit b4 i apply it onto the bumper?

if you look closely in the lip, you can see spots where you can apply the betalink (for my case i used 3m tape). these spots are long rectangles on the 2 ends, and 2 in the middle.
