Sweet scene Ed. I expect ducklings in a couple of weeks.

Wow, they can swim at 2 days old?
And that's a big brood, isn't it?

Mallard ducklings in the wild can pretty much swim right after hatching. If they are domesticated eggs though, it takes a few weeks for them to develop the water resistant oils their natural born relatives are born with. |

Just wow. I'm going to have to start stalking you on flickr. these are just so awesome. I avoid cameras with all cost, and have taken only one picture in the last 5 months. As soon as I find my passwd, the stalking begins. Thanks!

Excellent.
I need to find another show to go to, SF nets me a bunch of slightly blurry pics.

Thanks for the kind words guys.
Lups stalk away, but be prepared for lots of train pics, as I never quite got over my boyhood fascination with them. Quote:

I might have to do the Capitol a.s. this year. The F22 will be there and I've never seen a Harrier.

This guy was calmly munching on some grass as I drove up my street the other day. With the lack of water I am expecting to see a lot more wildlife in the neighborhood this summer.

Schmidt's Sausage Haus in Columbus, OH. Shot during a tour of German Village. Not the best day with on/off rain, but the sky was pretty dramatic. First real shoot using my new Tokina 16-28 f2.8. Nice lens.

One more. The original Max and Erma's restaurant. Living in IL where most power lines are buried, I forget what a hassle it is trying to shoot where the lines are above ground.

Nice ones Mark! I actually ate at Schmidt's many years ago when I was in Columbus for a wedding. I recall it being pretty good, but then again, I've always been a sucker for German food.

Yeah, Schmidt's isn't bad. There was a better German place a ways south of Chicago that we stopped at once and I was amazed at how close to real living-in-Germany-good it was. But then, of course, they closed down. :-(
My all time favorite German meal is Wiener Schnitzel and pommes frites with lemon to squeeze on the schnitzel. Add in a good beer and I'm in heaven.

Colors might be a little off. Got a new monitor and haven't calibrated it yet.
