Broke a couple of rockers (and probably bent some valves).
Thinking about separating the head at this point. There's plenty of good parts in it, but I just need to get rid of the block.

Solid. New rings probably wouldn't hurt, but no real problems down there.

tempting, since my bottom end is shot, but top end is rebuilt
I'd just have to machine the head and bolt right up right |

Pretty much. You just need the typical stuff you'd replace anyway (head gasket, head bolts, and seals).
I think I'm going to unbolt the head soon. Maybe this weekend if I have time.

I'm planning on lemoning my car after this next one. I'm going to have to get everything back to stock.
Omar, let me know if you still need a buyer for that BT tool. I need to clear all my codes and the DME before I bring it in.

Which one? Coolant temperature sensor, water temperature sender, or coolant level sensor? I may have the first two.

D'oh. I either need that or the expansion tank because mine doesn't seal right. :/
Yeah, I have a cherry picker. When and how long would you need it? I don't mind letting you borrow it at all, but I have these engines around here that I'm trying to sell right now so I might need it on short notice.

Phuong and his friend Ryan said they can help unload the motor after work since Ryan knows how to use the cherry picker. I plan on going to harbor freight in the morning tomorrow to buy an engine stand but if i can borrow a cherry picker that'd save me some money so that I won't need to buy it...at least right away. So i could have it returned to you within the weekend...sunday latest but most likely fri evening? lemme know. If it's too much of a hassel i'll just buy one from hf |
