E30 got rear ended in a parking space!!

I came back outside and waited and after I found him, the guy admitted he pulled his car up to the bumper.

It's a freaking 1-car space.

And now the rear bumper has a huge crack along the top.

I've seen people park back to back there occasionally, but never like that! It's a space between two driveways and it's marked for only one car, but he tried to squeeze his car in behind mine to be ahead of the red line.

He said he pulled up and let the bumpers touch gently, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say I don't think he necessarily realized what he had done. It was some old guy and he wasn't a jerk about it either.
