As I understood if we place order now we get 3 revised skirts with 100% fitment right? Or maybe some people already has that skirts installed on their cars? Should we better wait for installed photos?

I would wait at least until they have a final version out. Everyone who originally ordered these last year have not received theirs yet.

Frank, could you give us an update as to whether these are going back for revisions, still being produced, or being shipped out as is?

Well, my car is STILL at the shop. They couldn't get them fitted today, so they're going for one more try tomorrow. If they still don't work, I'm just going to return them for a refund.

What problems did the shop have when fitting them?

They are having a hard time fabricating a way for the front to "pop in" on the driver's side front. They are literally trying to mold something that is strong enough to adhere to the skirt, so that it can pop into the car. There is literally nothing there on the front of that skirt.

Why don't you just have them send you over a replacement drivers side only sideskirt with the tabs? I mean look at the passenger side, once you get the driver's replacement one it will all be good! Give them a chance to make it right and send you over a new driver's side instead of a refund...Good luck either way man!

Because, they want me to send it back first, so they can test it, and THEN send me a replacement.

I already paid the shop to put them on, so it's just not worth it to return to stock, take my time so package it up, ship it back, and then wait.

They should have just offered to replace it and let me return the bad one, but that wasn't an option I guess.

THorsHammer...I think you must have missed Frank's post...I did find it wierd that they wouldn't replace a defective skirt like your driver's side one...THey have shown nothing but good faith so far!

His PM to me:

Quote:
Hi there:
I saw your post on the side skirts thread.
Is the issue only happened on the driver side? We already sent a return shipping label to you email.
Please ship it back, and we will try on our car. If indeed there's a problem, we will send you a replacement.

Sorry for the late response,
Frank
I think this was a fair offer, knowing that a vendor can't just send out replacements without confirming that an item is truly defective. All things considered, I think Frank has handled this well. It's just not worth it to me to mess with the back and forth and waiting all over again.

Thanks.

They really are the best in town. If they can't make it work, it's hopeless! LOL

Fuck... that sucks. IMO MFD should have just sent you a replacement driver's side ASAP.

I mean, it's only one side not a complete set. What's one guy gonna do with two of the same side?

Regardless, I hope your bodyshop finds a way to make these work and I hope that MFD reads this and sends this poor bastard a replacement driver's side FAST!

Alright guys, I can confirm Excellent fitment, Pat personally delivered a set to my house at around 11PM PST, it is now close to 2AM. I just couldn't wait until tomorrow errrrr today?

Installation was very straight forward, I took my time and everything went on without a hitch.

The only MINOR grip I have is that the front driver side is about 2mm too short, but it is very hard to notice. Overall the fitment looks VERY good. ALL the mounting points lined up enough for me to re-attach all the fasteners. No noticeable "bulging" that others described. I will get some pictures in the sunlight tomorrow.

They set off the car just right and I am very happy with the fitment and ease of install.

Thor, I think you got a funky set, as I have ZERO body shop experience and I was able to get these things installed without any real issues.

Big Thanks to Pat at MFD for personally delivering these to my house and FINALLY getting these skirts RIGHT!
