Anyone with half a brain and the will to make some money is going to buy a harness, replicate it, and make a fortune on it. $150 for wires is ludacris and very easily exploitable. Guesstimating, you can turn more then 28k profit on 200 sets of wires alone.

I would disagree with the pricing as I find it reasonable. Running a business requires profits. These types of connectors, purchased in the low quantities Shiv is purchasing them in (not 10,000+ units), could easily be $5 - $10 per unit. I suspect there are about four with this upgrade. Add in wire and terminals and a material cost could easily be around $40.

Now add in what would amount to about 30 minute labor for each harness and a sale price of $150 is not bad.



With the brown nosing completed, can I get my harness imediately as I have a date with a dyno on the 22nd.

Yup, I understand that. I have read all the posts from the past where they said it would be the cost of the harness. Frankly it was ill-advised for Shiv to make statements like that in the first place and I'm sure that won't happen again.

But what the hell...$150 is the cost of admission and I'm gonna bet everyone's going to pay it. Even at $350+ V2 would be a bargain if the power gains are actually true. We'll certainly know soon enough.

I had a G4 and hated it then I sold it.My unlce bought one and had major problems recently and when he took it to the Mac store they told him to throw it away basically and buy a new one....Not exactly a good answer for him.

what OS whats your uncle and you running? personally i feel the OS Tiger and Panther (OSX 10.4 and 10.3) have been pretty solid, and a new one is coming out soon. I hated macs (and still do) that was anything before OSX. It took a month of not shorter for me to transition from Windows to Mac.

wow this is now a mac thread. To think we are paying hundreds of dollars for a dumb piece of shit ipod that costs USD50 to make in China. At least Shivs products still are made in USA and costs USD150 retail. Thats something to think about. Not to say that its exactly cheap, but just gotta hate apple for their big markups. Ppl still buy and i dont hear them whine. Why should we be any better when we are paying far more for an ipod that gives you aout 5bhp when you hear Armin Van Burren and step your right leg down?

apple aren't the only ones.... there's quite a few that do the same thing.... nike for example their overhead to make shoes is only a few $$$ while they sell for hundreds...
