Leslie - I would have kept driving but I had to go directly to a training class (brain surgery-advanced) from the dealer. It was only a three hour class but it seemed like an eternity. I spent a good deal of time today showing it off. Does that neato hard top work pretty good?

I just tried to take a picture but that incredible battery that I've been boasting about finally died - maybe tomorrow.

Poolboy - I would love to meet everyone in Napa but we'll be gambling in Laughlin that weekend. I'm taking old route 66 across the desert, trying to keep it under 100.

Joeyballs - White looks good.

BTW, if any of you have the automatic, it moves from a dead stop more smoothly in sport mode. I think it starts in second in regular mode. The bluetooth phone works great. My addresses transferred nicely although I found out if the other party hangs up first and you subsequently push the phone button, you will dial out. It just takes some getting used to but the sound quality is excellent.

Should I have a special usb adapter for my iphone? When I plug it in to the usb input, it charges but I don't see my songs. I think it will take all weekend to truly study all the bells and whistles. Time to go to sleep - I'm exhausted.

Do you have the right cable? I didn't try pluging my iPhone in, but when I plugged in my iPod, it took a bit for it to recognize the songs and then they all showed up

Wow, you sleep for one night....

Congrats on all the new cars, I think you all have me beat on mileage, 43 so far. I am trying to figure out the headlight settings right now. If you go all the way over to the left, I think it just automatically does it's thing. But then again, I am probably wrong. AND I can't find a way to keep the brights on, I didn't see anything in the manual about it either. Oh well, I guess this is all part of the learning process.

I am planning a little trip to Lodi this weekend to visit mom. I bought her a cell phone a while back and she is having a hard time using it. She calls my daughters' cell everytime she is trying to get one of us five kids, gets on the internet (when! I'm not on the computer!), 411 info (it costs money to call them?!?) etc.. Maybe if I help her with the cell phone, it will build my confidence back up and I can attack the BMW manual with a new vengence.

Gotta go to Six Flags today, we are taking the Prius. ("Hoooneeeyy, I don't want to leave my car in that parking lot!") Have fun everyone this weekend. We need more pics!

EDIT: FTHROWER - the convertible is great and side bonus, I think about one more week and I won't have to have my hair professionally highlighted, an $80 job! This car just keeps giving and giving.....

I'm jealous about not being able to do euro delivery. On the freeway yesterday I was thinking about how solid this car must feel at 100+. Not to mention the huge cost savings.

It was such a smooth ride at 100+. I think I was usually cruising at 115-120 mph. At first I was pretty scared and white knuckled, but then I got more confident. Cost saving yes....but then again, I spent 3K on the trip.

For what its worth, on my way to work this morning I passed by Steven's Creek BMW and saw a Wagoneer truck outside unloading several cars ... too bad not my dealer ... but maybe for someone else in the Bay Area

I think I've given up on delivery this weekend ... but still hoping for the long weekend.

Sounds like everyone is either in possession or close to it. LesLazz - They told me just to leave the lights in that position and forget about them. Also, if I remember right from last night - pulling the stalk towards you flashes the high beams and pushing it away from you keeps them on.

I have to pickup that ipod adapter cable at the dealer. It was just missing. Don't forget to call that BMW assist lady within 72 hours. "Welcome to BMW Assist - We need to verify some information and, by the way, those jeans look really nice on you."

... my 128i is suppose to ship from VPC today and just got an email from my CA informing me that my 128i has arrived

... CA is working with service dept. to see if i can pick it up by tonight.

Nope mine was US delivery... I wish I did ED, from what I read its one of those experiences that you gotta do.. maybe next time on the next car...
