Great notables - Grindhouse - Planet Terror & Death Proof, Killer Clowns from Outter Space, The Return of the Living Dead (1985), ALL of the Elm Street movies, The Evil Dead films, Tuck and Dale versus Evil, The (1980's) Prom Night movies and there are a ton more I'd have to think on.

Another great film that didn't get much attention that I think you would like is Brawl in Cell Block 99. If you haven't seen that one, check that out! Great watch!

If you haven't seen Hereditary, check it out too. We really enjoyed it.
Thanks! I will check out the stuff you recommended that I haven't seen yet.

I started watching the Belko Experiment the day before we left for vacation. She had already seen the preview and remembered it, so I had to stop it until I can watch by myself.

The girlfriend and I went to see Once Upon a Time in Hollywood this weekend. Enjoyable watch. Some great scenes and lots of easter eggs for Tarantino fans if you know what you're looking for. A couple that I noticed: It appeared that Brad Pitt was smoking Red Apple cigarettes on the roof, also saw an ad on bus for them and not to mention the commercial. Red apple cigarettes are only in Tarantino films....and pretty much all of them....they were even around during the Civil War as they are in The Hateful Eight also. Cliff's (Brad Pitt) car is a Karmann Ghia, the same car Uma drives in Kill Bill vol. 2. DiCaprio mentions that the worked on The Virginian, same show that Stunt Man Mike mentions that he worked on in Death Proof. Spahn Ranch is where the TV show Zorro was filmed, when Cliff is at George's house, a picture of Guy Williams is hanging on the wall. When discussing the spaghetti western movie directors, the name Antonio Margareti is mentioned; this is one of the names that is used in Inglorious Basterds, and is repeated over and over by the "I-talian film makers" as they enter the theater.

These are all the ones that I noticed, although I'm sure there is ton more. Tarantino always throws stuff like this in his movies. One of the things that make his films such an enjoyable watch.

It's a fantastic watch! Tyler Labine (Dale) is hilarious in Super Troopers 2. He is also the "Huggn' Chugg'n Football" guy in Zac and Miri Make a Porno.

All DISNEY movies are like that. If you have already seen the animated versions you'll hear plenty of music.

I guess I'm the only one who found her attractive...

I just got back from the Red Carpet premier of Apocalypse Now Final Cut at the Cineramadome. What a fucking trip! I thought Redux would be the definitive cut but now I think this is definitely the "better" version. Coppola, Martin Sheen, Laurence Fishburn, and Albert Hall got in front of the audience after the movie and talked for about 30 minutes about making the film. Truly an unforgettable experience to see one of my favorite directors in person and see his latest cut of his greatest masterpiece.

Some filmmakers were in the audience too. Eli Roth, Fredrick Forrest, John Milius and I think many more that I just couldn't place a name to buy I've seen in films. If you haven't already, get some tickets because watching this movie on the big screen is a must!!

Coppola has supervised a 4K restoration of the film and, for the second time, tweaked the cut. Having perhaps gone too far in his 2001 "Redux," which added 53 minutes, "Apocalypse Now Final Cut," which opens in theaters Friday and on home video August 27, splits the difference at 183 minutes.

Somehow I found Ex Machina on NF last night. From the moment Caleb arrived and was told the reason by Nathan, I was SURE Nathan was the one taking the touring test.

Watched it this past Sunday and I thought it was enjoyable. My date read the book when younger and didn’t enjoy it as much. Said a lot of things didn’t follow the book from what she can remember. I didn’t think it was scary though.

Finally saw Avengers End Game. Well I guess I won't even bother stating my opinions since they won't even matter, but all I can say is most of the time it's sort of joyless until the last 20 min. or so where it sort of redeems itself. What I can say that with the conclusion of the series, here some of my thoughts of ...

Tony Stark: A very talented actor but till this date, I maintain his best movie is "Chances Are" playing opposite of Cybil Shepard (hm... yummy), but his best most known acting movie to most people is Iron Man I. He invented the role the same way Johnny Depp invented his role in Pirate of the Caribbean. But since then, it seems like he sort of repeats the sane lines with the same manner over and over again, not much difference. Hopefully after Avengers, he may do something more interesting.

Mark Ruffalo and Scarlett Johansson are two extremely talented actors and I enjoyed every movies of them, but I think they are mis-casted as action hero roles in Avengers. I don't really thing they add any thing to their roles in Avengers, and since Avengers, they sort of became lazy ... sort of doing the same thing over and over again. Hopefully with the end of Avengers, they will do more interesting stuffs. See Scarlett Johansson in Ghost World or Lost in Translation or Match Point.

Most people probably identify Iron Man with Avengers, but I think Chris Hemsworth probably has the best screen present. He always has the right comedic timing in every scene he's in. He's sort of like Jennifer Aniston in Friends. Whereas Iron Man was always serious and heavy handed, Thor was always sort of taking things as light and la la la :-)
