Hey guys well I was told today that the car is ready and I will be picking it up this Thursday after I finish my finals lol but they said that car is not giving anymore codes and that it runs smooth as well. I asked about the 30FF and they said that they are not getting that code anymore and that the car is not under boosting either. They did not actually replace anything for the 30FF so its kind of sketch that suddenly the car is boosting right but I guess we will find out soon. Thanks y'all ))

The injectors were covered by extended emissions warranty, and if anything for the injectors you should also be under warranty since we have basically the same car. Also what did you do to get rid of the 30FF ?? What did you find? Im asking just in case I get the car and it throws that code again but after the blasting its said to not be throwing codes and they also said the turbos are fine and that its boosting fine but we will see after I pick it up this Thursday!! Good luck and update after working on it !!

The issue with the 30FF came from the JB4 which I installed strictly for engine monitoring purposes, I already had the JB4 and BT adapter so why not. On map0, the JB4 was targeting 8psi under WOT which is less than what the 335is should be making, hence the 'boost under target' code.

I uninstalled it right away but I've been getting cyl 1 misfires ever since..

Make sure you do some WOT full boost runs to confirm 30FF is gone.

30FF hasn't come back since I uninstalled, including some WOT runs. I haven't done a full 3rd gear 3k-7k pull though, since there's a >75% chance I misfire. Taking her easy until I have time to do the work.

I'll be sure to do a 3rd gear pull after walnut blast and new plugs/coils, before installing any other parts/tunes. Should be early next week.

Had the day off from work and decided to do plugs & coils. I found a pool of oil next to the cyl 2 coil, and oil on 3/6 of the spark plugs (2, 3, and 6). I replaced everything and the misfiring is gone now, but presuming my valve cover is cracked this shouldn’t last long. Hoping to replace this next week since I planned on doing all my vacuum lines anyway.

Also, there was a Delphi coil in cyl 1 but Bosch OEM in the other 5. Cyl 1 was giving me the misfire so I’m guessing there’s an underlying issue causing the misfire, since the previous owner replaced this coil. Hoping just the valve cover and not injectors, but we’ll find out. Tune in next week!

Damn, that sucks. Good luck with the replacement, hopefully just the gaskets.

Just picked up a pair of catless DPs and am wondering whether installing them on an otherwise stock 335is would cause any problems besides CEL. I understand that the O2 sensor may cause the car's computer to change the A/F ratio to try to compensate for the lack of cats by making it leaner. If I am not getting a JB4 or other tune in the near future, could running the catless DPs affect longevity of the engine inhibit performance at all? If there are any negative effects to having catless DPs without tune, would an O2 simulator fix those issues?

Check out MHD tuning. Android app based and significantly cheaper than the other options.

Should be fine, but the downpipes will be severely under-utilized without a tune. With an intake and downpipes, even just a mild tune would allow your engine to work efficiently with these parts since it will adapt your a/f ratio for the higher air flow. This will give you more power without subjecting the engine to any added stress, you’ll get the “this is how the car should have came from the factory” feeling.

I second Gator on MHD. If you have an android device, great, if not you can get a Samsung Galaxy Tab for like $70 from Wal-Mart (that’s what I did).

Digiland 8" from BestBuy works with MHD too for $50! I went that route since I don't own any Android devices and this ones strictly dedicated for the car only.

Anybody found a good track day tire pressure for the stock 19" Bridgestone Potenza runflats?

Doing an HPDE this weekend and have had sidewall rollover issues in the past. Not quite as easy to dial in as it is with autocross since the sessions are so much longer.

(Sidenote, I know I should put better tires on, just can't justify until i wear this set out)

Those are M3 "style" fenders.
Correct, the stock M3 fenders do not work as the front is wider and match the bumper.
There are aftermarket fenders that give you the look but work with the non-m bumpers and hood.
