here's the info:
The event begins 54 minutes past midnight PDT (3:54 a.m. EDT) on August 28. At first, there is little change. The outskirts of Earth's shadow are as pale as the Moon itself; an onlooker might not even realize anything is happening. But as the Moon penetrates deeper in to the Earth’s shadow, a startling metamorphosis occurs. Around 2:52 a.m. PDT (5:52 a.m. EDT) the color of the Moon changes from moondust-gray to sunset-red. This is totality, and it lasts for almost 90 minutes.

i was thinking that, but unfortunately i've never been there, and not sure where to go around the area.
The beach is only a few blocks away, so maybe that'll work out. No street lights around, just the SF view in the distance. |

yeah just videotape it when it gets good. I think if I can get out of the house tonight, I'll go up to the Milbrae Bart Station and watch it.

you can watch it anywhere, but it's best to get away from any city lights.
Total eclipse should be about 3am and that's when it should turn a orange/red color. |

well the moon here in millbrae seems to be pretty bright and clear right now. i might set alarm to wake up to watch it. but it seems lame to watch it alone (this is when a gf plays the role).
