Hi all
Thanks for the welcome. dxb, chenko is fine. Budgie, Alexie Mikhailichenko was a Russian footballer who played for Rangers in the 90's. My name is Michael and somehow I ended up Mikhailichenko which was quickly shortened to chenko. Strange how nicknames come about. Will, I will post some pics when I get some decent weather to take some. Great site. Ive only been a member one day and already its helped me out with the ConnectedDrive, which the dealer neglected to mention. |

Hi Everyone - New 320d Touring
Hi all,
I’m James, and the new owner of a 55 plate 320d Touring M sport. Just collected it this afternoon I must admit I have be lurking on the forums for the past few weeks before buying my car – gaining advice and info before the big purchase.... so a big retrospective ‘thanks’ to you all! My last car was a Volvo 850 T-5 Estate... so this is quite a step up for me! (Though I must admit the performance isn’t quite as brisk) My car is a Graphite Black colour (not sure if that is the right description) 55 plate 320d Touring M sport with full cream leather, panoramic sunroof, i-drive and a few other toys (I’m still exploring). It has 92K on the clock and I paid just over £10K; I’d be interested on your input if this was an ok price for the spec, it is in good condition. I bought it from The Car Shop in Swindon (Car Supermarket). Next time I’m going to a dealer as it wasn’t a great experience – took too long and they tried too hard to sell me finance, insurance, gap insurance, warrantee, etc (didn’t fall for any of it).....but you get what you pay for... My only reservation about the car is a noise that comes from front driver’s side wheel area at around 50mph and above. I noticed this when driving back along the motorway. I don’t know whether this is the standard of noise expected from run flats and the sports suspension but it seems abnormally intrusive into the cabin. The noise changes pitch with speed and I think there might be a small vibration coming through the steering wheel (though I might be imagining this). I would be keen to hear your comments on this as I am a little concerned (and the car is still in warrantee); I’ve tried searching the forums on this to no success. Any ideas? Also, is there any easy way to find out what options have been fitted to my car? ... not important as I’m sure I will find out, but of interest. Thank you all in advance... I will get some pics up soon (If yer interested ).. James |

Speak to any BMW dealer and they can tell you what options the car has. Congrats by the way and welcome to the forum.
Not heard of Grahite black, do you mean sapphire black? Get some pics up. Carlos

Hi, I've been hovering around this site for many months now and this is me finally getting round to saying Hello to you all... Have to say it's been a great source of info and the comedy value is immeasurable (you know who you are)… Hope to contribute shortly with my experiences...
To the Car, I’ve a 325i M-Sport bought new in March last year, stuck some CSL reps on it plus some other cosmetic bit and bobs which help, bitterly disappointed with the performance (should have gone for a 330i or 335i I guess)! Just back from the Dealership - NOX Sensor & High Pressure Fuel Pump replaced under warranty (Siemmens replaced with Bosch)... at the begining of Jan it went for an ECU/Management Recall - 11 updates and 6 hours later all well... and if i've done this right there ought to be a couple of pic's below..... Nice looking E90 325 NmAck mate.
Needs the blacklines then your done, maybe a drop also. If you had bought the 325d you could have tuned to 250bhp and some Euro company tunes them to 270-280.

Thanks Carlos - Sorry, should have mentioned I'm Neil....
Black Lines I'm afraid just don't do it for me! A drop however would be nice, I'm sure an inch would make a Hugh difference in appearance. As for Diesel's - I've had them for company cars for the last 7 years and when I accepted a new job without one, thought I'd get back to the good old days of revving and wringing the nuts out of an engine (raced sidecars) to get the most of it - that said when you've had bucket loads of torque to play with in the past, you don't half miss it.... |

Right here we are guys, I been lurking in and around the forums since my dad and I bought me my motor...2006 325i SE, basic and completely stock in terms of what many have here (I hear stock is in ), no Idrive, no xenon etc but I love it to bits. This forum is so addictive!! I've found my post count go up to 100+. Anyway I'm here now. I'll be going to the UK7, very much looking forward to it, also of course seeing some of youz with your insane cars too.

Will be good to meet you too. Not everyone has insanely modified cars though - most are actually very normal and as they were from factory!!

Not modifications as such but like options available on the cars when bought, not to mention an M3 and 335i and 335d's to boot are amazing anyway. I read a lot of users on here with things on their cars which mine just doesn't have, either way should be a fun day.

Also, does anyone know of any potential problems with a high mileage 320d? Circa 93K. I’d like to know what to keep an eye out for.... and would it be a bad idea to remap it? - it has a full BMW service history. |
