The 500D (T1i) is a great camera.. But make sure you check out the new T2i... It's SUPER bad ass for an entry level.

yeah, i saw the T2i too. its just the price is that much more. i didnt really want to spend that much money. i'll have to think about it

btw, thats a pretty good review site. ive used that before.

What were you getting the T1i for?

When it comes to photography great, it's better to wait and save up.. then settle for less. Unless it's a steal of a price. haha

i want an entry level SLR but a good entry level one. i thought of the XSi but it doesnt take video.

im not gonna buy it quite yet...i'll definitely be saving up some money

The XSi is a great camera, but it's a bit out dated now. Then again, it will still take amazing photographs. So it comes down to the bells and whistles i guess.
I recommend you try them out. Go to a Camera place that has them and see which one you like better.

I cant stress how amazing the AF system is on the new cameras.
It was the one thing that Canon's were lacking for a while.

If canon drop's a 5Dmark III, with the new AF system.
I'm selling my markII and buying the markIII
