Well I got it installed this morning, and I love how it sounds. At low rpm's it's just slightly louder than stock, but with a different tone that has a little rasp. Once you hit 3000 rpm's it gets a lot meaner.

As a whole, the sound isn't intrusive or annoying. It's well-mannered and pretty quiet when you want, and mean and aggressive when you hit the gas. IMO the 335 should come with this exhaust from the factory.

My one gripe is that the driver's side tip is slightly off-center from where it should be in the bumper opening. The guys at Imola said there are no adjustment settings to fix it. It does bother me a little cause I tend to be kinda anal about details like that, but I guess if I decide I can't live with it I can have some other tips welded on.

Unfortunately I won't be at Cars and Coffee this weekend. I will be at the meet on the 17th though so you'll be able to hear it in person then.

Where did you get it from?

Nick
I did see a couple other people comment about strange fitment somewhere on the forums, so it's not just me.

I ordered it from Tischer. They rock.

Congrats on the PE Exhaust. I'm putting my TopSpeed up for sale and hopefully going this route!

I guess not having any adjustment makes sense - aren't the rear boxes and tips all one unit pretty much? So is it down to how it's welded that determines the final position? Given that it's OEM you would expect it to be nuts on. It would bother me too man!

How far out do the tips sit from the bumper? That was another complaint people on here had - that it protruded too far. All the pics I've seen looked good IMO, so that wouldn't have put me off. Anyway can't wait to hear it

I can't wait to hear the exhaust Aaron! Are the tips off center because they were designed for the performance diffusor

I know this is a problem for the 1 series exhaust.

Got my wheels back today!! They were powdercoated from MN Enameling in Jordan, MN. They did an excellent job with the wheels. They were curbed and scratched pretty badly and they were able to fix most of the flaws. Hopefully, I'll be able to switch out my wheel set-ups tomorrow.

Unfortunately, they weren't able to remove the bends. It doesn't matter though since the bends are on the inside of the rim and that it doesn't affect tire pressure.

Does it affect the road or how it rides? Just curious.

No drone? Did you do the golf tee mod before? If so, how does it compare? I mena obviously it's louder but by how much?

Nick
No I didn't do the golf tee thing so I'm not sure how the sound level compares to that. Compared to stock I'd say it's maybe 25% louder. But it's not just the extra sound, it's a different sound. It's got some bite to it, and when you take your foot off the gas pedal to slow down you can hear it burbling... I love it.

As far as drone, you can definitely hear the exhaust sound if you're cruising above 2500 rpms. But I'm not sure if that qualifies as drone or not, and you can't hear it if you have some music on.

My car also burbles and I also love it. To me it sounds like my car is chuckling.

Why do so many people just sit in the left lane here??? On my way into work I use Hwy 62 from 494 to 35W, and had somebody in the right lane doing 5 under the limit (which is OK of course), but then another person sitting in the left lane at EXACTLY the same speed. This went on for mile after mile... So frustrating, it's a PASSING lane people!!!

No effect at all. Drives smooth! Speaking of which, here is the aftermath.

Thanks! It's a great change from the blacked out look the car had last year! Plus, I think these look better than if I have gotten the VMR V701s.

Ah yes, I was drooling over those photos earlier today! It would be a fun ED for sure. Who knows, maybe in early '11

On a side note, any information on whether we can become a sticky? That will be a truly momentous occasion for the MN E90 chapter.

Great seeing some of you guys make it to cars and coffee. What was your favourite ride? I absolutely loved the two shelby cobras that showed up and of course the 911 turbos!
