Oil cooler, SSBLs, non RFTs, possibly LSD. Though I haven't been on a track yet so I still have no idea how my car would respond on one as it is now. Would probably be more than fine though for the most part though.

non rfts are enough IMO...watch your temps without an oil cooler...which reminds me I thought all E92 ZSP got the oil cooler...it was only the E90s that had to fuck around with the retrofit?

No, E92's had this issue as well. Can't remember what build date you needed to have one though

You would be fine stock to be honest. Oil cooler would be a good idea. Brakes will get worn down big time if you are on stock brakes though

Prior to 03/07 builds you only got an OC if you had a 6MT and sports package. 03/07+ had the OC for both auto and manual. Mine is an 02/07 auto so I didn't get one.

I even called BMWNA asking if they would approve a retrofit for me and they said they stopped doing that out of goodwill and it's a customer pay option now

My car was a 7/07 build if I remeber correctly and it did NOT have the OC.
I had the same issue with mine. When I got the car tuned, I got nervous about it over heating. I called up BMW and they said, sure we can retrofit one, bring it. Pretty happy about that, so I brought the car in. Three days later, the service dept called me and said BMW will not pay for it unless the car over heats. I called up BMW, bitched for about 30 minutes and they told me oh well. I really tired to get the car to over heat that summer just to prove a point but it never did.

Actually found that blackhawk farms was a really nice track. It is not as fast as road america but a lot of curves which was a nice start to learning how to track the car. I know BMW club has events there all the time. I went with my friend on one of the porsche events and it was a blast. Here is the link. Will have to check it out and see what they have for the year. I would recommend going here first if you have never tracked your car. Road America is a totally different animal.
