Hello guys,

now my Progman is full working with my OBD 2 cable.The Progman V32 software succesfull connect to my E90 but now i have some questions:

Can I upgrade my CCC software with it?
Everytime I try to start an update, progman says that IHK and FSW must be changed!I found no way to get rid of it..

Last question:

is there anyone that can write a step to step guide about programming the car with WinKPF?I didn't find it on the web!

where did you acquire progman

Once you've got all the daten files set up for WinKFP, it's not to tough to flash a module, but it can be tricky as you are in full control and one mistyped digit could render your module bricked. If you have Progman working correctly, just let it do the updates according to its measures plan.

I'd like to upgrade CCC's software because I have the first edition.I'm having trouble with progman because it says that I need to change some ECUs.I know that I can update the software with WinKPG without too many problems.. but I don't know How!

In one day i was able to understand and use NCS Expert but i wasn't able to use WinKPF after 1 week tests

i wish i could still get amber lights when set to parking light. oh well... can't have it all!

@Tofu, can you explain to me exactly what it does. I have 2010 E90 LCI. It removes the little 3 yellow/amber lights? Is this the equivilant to the corner mod delete?

I replaced the old files with these and I can access the CIC and CID modules.
Unfortunately, now I get an error when trying to access the NFRM and a couple others, which I could access before. The fault is BIP-0009: Faulty BEST version of description file. I've found it suggested to copy/replace the updated files rather than cut/paste, which I've tried also with no luck. Definetly getting closer!

Have you guys tried these yet?

Flash To Pass - BIXENON_EIN_BEI_LICHTHUPE - Use both bixenon and halogen (while lowbeams are on) as flash to pass.
Remote Locking Flash - QUIT_OPT_SCHAERF - Visualy acknowledge remote locking (one flash)
Remote Unlocking Flash - QUIT_OPT_ENTSCH - Visualy acknowledge remote un-locking (two flashes)
Fog Lights Effect - PWM_WERT2_NSL_ZUSATZFKT - Fog light additional effect
Fog Lights Parking - NSL_ALS_STANDLICHT - Fog lights as parking light

Do you know if any of these are possible?

Digital instant-read MPG reading for 328i e90
Digital coolent/oil temperature reading
AE as day time running light for pre-LCI e90

Not sure about most of the above but the code for the Digital instant-read MPG reading is "DIGITAL_KVA" in the KOMBI module.

i have an 08' e92, so i'm not completely sure. if those variables are present in your fsw_psw, then give it a try. if the LEDs you have act as city lights, it may very well turn them off.

325/328/330 sedans and wagons have the analog instant MPG gauge under the speedo. All 335 and coupe/vert have an oil temp gauge there, and have instant MPG as a digital display instead.

Nope, I am also getting the communication interrupted error... Doesn't seem like anyone has responded with anything useful for this problem. I have played around with the latency and the speeds to no avail, though I seem to be able to connect randomly. I sent a note to the the ebay seller and am contemplating desoldering the pin 8 and see if that works.
Otherwise, can anyone confirm that the fifo settings only need to be changed on the serial to usb cables, I don't see any options for that for my usb only cable.

fyi. you can still code your car even if the air bag test fails. just make sure the software can detect your car then move on to ncsexpert.
