I cant have 1.47 Torque with V2 because at high altitude i cant make use of the torque settings as much as you guys at sea level they just dont change boost that much as the turbos just cant work that much. 1.47 was providing torque without needing 13PSI boost.

Ill be very honest i agree it does have more power above 6000 rpm so it races from 6000-7000 when 1.47 didnt BUT there is a lot or torque missing at this altitude it really does feel different. Im not disagreeing that V2 is a much better product and better for development moving forward and i dont regret buying it, but i dont think "at this altitude that is" a standard V2 car will pull ahead of a standard 1.47 even though it has less boost.
Shiv has on many occations said that V2 LOVES air and producess more power the more air you give, thats why a drop in air filter makes so much more difference with V2 and a cone air filter makes even more. Unfortunatly that isnt the case at high altitude cause no matter what you do there is 15% less air here. I dont think 1.47 was so sensative to air pressure as V2 im not a pro its just my observation. V2 might be brilliant for guys at sea level but im not convinced its miles ahead in speed compared to 1.47 at high altitude "only because V2 loves more air intake and high altitude just cant provide" i can see this when racing my friends RS4 i used to take him a lot more with 1.47 than V2 at 96% settings, maybe my air intake is the restriction and when i change that it will bring V2 to life i dont know hopefully shiv can give some insight on V2 at high altitude. I have also offered help with data from dyno runs to help all his customers at high altitude get the most out of V2. Im just waiting for him to ask me what he needs. What do you guys think? |

Not dissing shiv at all i know he is busy with a shit load more stuff than 2 or 3 guys at high altitude so no rush just want to try and get my car running right i think everyone on this forum understands their passion with their cars especially shiv. You guys know what its like your car is your baby and you need to get her happy

Here's my log at idle. This was taken on the N3 highway just past the Modderfontein offramp. So that's close to Edenvale & should be the same as you. As you can see it's around -2.2 psi which is right for this elevation. My wife's Golf V Gti also shows around -2.2 psi at idle.
And here's a log of the MAP: This is an old log of the car with Procede only. You have to add 2.2psi onto that reading the get the effective boost. So it's around 13.5 at 4800 tapering down to around 10psi at 6700. |

Ok wait. The peak on that graph was not 13.5. It's around 11.5. I added the 2 psi to compare effective boost.
But let's forget about that for now. Let's not add anything. I went from 11.5 to 8. You went from 13.5 to around 10. So you are boosting higher and holding it better. |

I would check out first why you get -3.8 psi. Thats 1.7 psi less than M&M and the power you miss, IMO. Basicly you say you make 17.3 psi with your user torque settings. Take care about your turbos.
