Too much dyno silliness! Post a baseline so we can see difference on same day same conditions. If Shiv can provide a map that runs on 91 octane and goes like 100% on race gas....I'm done!

Silly of me to forget that Shiv's dyno is the only accurately calibrated dyno in North America.

Actually that no two dynos are alike. What do you guys do for a living, check groceries? Anyone that can't understand at this point that a dyno number from one dyno can't be compared to that of another has no ability to think freely. You guys don't seem to realize things unless they're square in front of your noses and the issue with that is that you rarely look in the right places for information before making your pre-emptive declarations of what power a car is making...

This is fantastic, pump him up for making a post that was realized to be inaccurate before you even made this quote & comment... Threads like these help me realize that this country could have actually majority voted for Bush and perhaps there was no need for a recount after all

Seriously though, I totally agree that it is so much more important to be wrong but think you're right as long as you are not "a fanboy of Vishnu" not that this hasn't become the forum cliche or anything. Please keep gracing us with your innuendo, however, as I have truly grown as a person thanks to your insightful posting

Sorry lol, at work, you know how that is... It's one thing to say you dislike a product and give good reasons, it's another thing to do it like these guys and just be blatantly wrong but amazingly sure that you are right based on misinformation :P

Thank you for the clarification, I've got to head over to sporting goods to restock the jump ropes.

is it me or is the procede dialing it back some with every new update.
Hey I had my v2 installed two weeks ago. Right after installation dyno'd 363 whp and 373 wtq. And that is on 90% torque settings and without the ECU adapting to it. Going to increase the torque settings to 94% and then get it dyno'd again..No other mods..

No worries, send me you address and I'll send you out a heavy-bag. It is on sale and I get 20%-off employee discount. You will have to pay for shipping because after all it is a "heavy" bag

403.4 RWTQ, assuming a 13% power loss, is 464 lb/ft or 629 Nm for the rest of the planet.
Hey Wily, I remember you putting down a monster 333/391 with V1.3 on that same machine last March. IIRC, it was about 10 degrees warmer than today. I was at 320/387 that day on Shell 93, also with the old v1.3.

If it feels and is faster, then that is what matters, but I would have expected better #'s from your car which was the dyno king that day out of 6 or 7 cars.

The 10% ethanol (usually found in the northeast during the winter months) has a big effect on a car's performance. I remember a major Audi S4 tuner having to dial back their tune on a car with GT25's once they were able to sample the garbage mixture with 10% ethanol.

I'd wait until you can get some quality fuel and dyno it again at the same shop. Running around from dyno to dyno, chasing that extra 10hp, isn't going to help. Ethanol is diluting the combustion and it's hurting your HP numbers.

You like how it's running. That's the important part.

Hi Clem!

V2 feels much more refined and pulls all the way to the red line.

I understand Shiv's comments on that dyno and I shall try a couple other dynos in my neck of the woods these coming days.

I shall share those results here and, if the AFR is still the same, I'll ask Shiv again about increasing the boost % around 5000 rpm.

Then I might go to a Dynapack garage and try changing the boost "on the fly".

Why are some ppl saying this dyno sucks, that dyno is not good, this and that...?

All Dynos are OK as well as you dynoed your car purely STOCK and compare it with your modded dyno's results to see your gains. In some cases, ppl dynoed their car stock making only 250whp, then with their mods over 320whp.

I can confirm this is DEFINITELY the case I even have a video, see link... of my e93 6AT with v2 ALONE (everything else stock) pulling 400BHP

Remember in europe we use crank horsepower. The Dyno Dynamics test machine used a 15% transmission power loss to get to that number. The machine wanted to use 18% ! But we toned it down.

The actual HP figure reading was anything between 338 and 343HP

SO YES V2 ALONE CAN MAKE 340hp at the wheels.

With catback I'd have pulled another 10 or so and then it would have been intake restricted.

do you think your cai added much whp?
which cold air intake do you have?

also, when u say full exhaust, do you mean full stock exhaust after your catless dps?

thanks

based on everything I've been seeing, the CAI does improve HP on this car. Its going to be my next power mod
