Yes it certainly is a great DIY mod for added ram air flow!! You get the benifits of placing the air filter outside the vehicle without any of the fuss that is associated with the other brands.

When are you coming down for yours nico? I have one with your name on it.

Best Regards,
Max-

Looks very impressive, will this work for the e90 330i? Does it replaces the OEM airbox? And last but not least, where is the DIY so ppl know how easy/hard it is to do the retrofit/mod...

Thanks.

1. No cutting required
2. Hassle free install, aprox 15 mins
3. 0 risk of sucking in water and possibly destroying your engine.
4. No need to remove the bumper
5. Can be taken on and off easily for trips to the dealer.
6. No need to remove support brace that attaches the frame to the body. (e92 models)
7. No check engine lights
8. Sound of the turbos spooling can be easily heard from inside the car while driving even with the windows up.
9. The HVI only weighs 1.47 lbs! Not adding 9 lbs of steel to the front of your car
10. The HVI is made from the highest grade materials. (6061 aluminum) not steel.
11. Aluminum has superior heat disipation. Unlike steel that will continue to retain heat after it gets hot.
12. Smooth transitions. No excess bends that will slow down air flow and decrease throtle response.
13. No need to add foam because of rattling issues often associated with some other brands.
14. Mandrel bent one piece design, not welded together piece by piece
15. Dyno tested with proven results with many of the top piggy backs and plug and play units.
16. Nice clean finish that blends perfectly with the engine bay. Very stock/stealth appearance.
17. Cad designed Laser cut brackets. Not random pieces of steel welded together.
18. black oxide grade 8 bolts provided or strength and stealth look
19. Easiest aftermarket intake system to install hands down

I can keep going, but most of the key points are covered on page 1. I hope this helps.

Best Regards,
Max-
Sounds interesting, Thanks for the info.

Here's a quick DIY guide for those that purchase our HVI intake system.

Tools required:
1. Rachet & 12" socket extension
2. 8mm socket
3. 10mm socket
4. T-15 torx driver
5. Flat head screw driver

Stock engine bay:

Step 1: Remove the plastic pieces (2) and center piece using 8mm the flat head screw driver.

Step 2: Remove the 3 wires from the stock air box and the air tube.

Step 3: Remove the front air snorkel with T-15 torx driver and air box clamps with flat head screw driver.

Step 4: Remove power steering reservoir bracket with 10mm socket and reinstall it using the relocation bracket.

Step 5: Install the air filter to the HVI. Then slide in the rear section of the intake first. Do not clamp it yet. Then Make sure the diverter valve hose sits underneath the air filter flange and gently twist it towards the driver side while sliding the 2nd HVI inlet into the oem plastic intake tract. press down gently so the filter sits in the desired position. Hold the intake in place and tighten down the 2nd HVI inlet clamp, and then tighten down the rear clamp on the intake. Reconnect the wires to the bracket. Reinstall the air snorkel, the center piece, polen filter and 2 plastic covers.

YOU'RE DONE!

We will post up a brake duct DIY that will allow RAM AIR to be fed right to the HVI. You can also simply mod the stock air scoop to allow even more air to the filter. Hope this helps guys.. Have a great weekend!!!
