Don't do it. Vanity plates are aptly named. Generally result in auto-deduct of at least 10 IQ points on the 'first impressions scale' (except for DBAG or DOUCHE - you'd score points for self-identifying w/ those, but probably already taken by a certain orange politico for his lambo ). If you want to do a tribute to your daughter, let her decorate part of it (preferably inside, and with stickers that she can change as she changes her mind) or pick a name for it - something a kid would actually appreciate.
And ''no Mercy" - in a 1 series? really? Might add 'Dream On' to the B list. |

All of the previous posts having some merit, there is one vanity plate that I honestly really like (and would have considered taking for myself, if my buddy didn't already have it).
His plate is U4IC ST8 (Euphoric state) which for driving, just resonates with me. |

Jaye, don't do it. Just walk away.
In our car group it's an automatic, irrevocable ejection.

Every time I see a vanity plate, I automatically assume the driver is a douche bag. I've been correct about 99.9% of the time.

Do you have to pay ? Yes. Each state's cost is different. Is there a market for numbers already taken etc ? No What's the rules ? Can't be vulgar. Like POOPOO. Also only 6 to 7 characters allowed depending on state. Some offer special characters like hearts and exclamation points. Last edited by Kev312; 09-21-2017 at 06:28 PM.. |

I think you're being conservative.

wow, I didn't realize all the hate out there for personal plates. Yes, most are dumb I suppose, but there are a few clever and funny ones. Even the plates that slip through the approval cracks for obscenities. lol

Ok guys this thread is going way off track (no it's not, he had it coming). I'm not willing to say there has been a thread jack yet but we are certainly getting dangerously close. Now are we going to help Jay or what? I have personally been working very closely with him on finding the perfect VANITY plate (Thats a lie, I have never spoken to him). We are still looking for some great ideas and as mentioned in the first post, there will be a prize for the winning submission (um that's a lie too unless you consider "appreciates" worth their weight in gold). I'm sure OP's problem isn't only related to E9X vehicles so if anyone knows of a DIY that has been stickied in any of the forums maybe you can post it here. Remember, the search button is your friend guys, use it.

It's not the plate, it's the driver. And if it was just my opinion I'd have kept it to myself - but poll ANY group, not just driving enthusiasts. If they are a bunch of freaky twits, they love them and want to help you choose; otherwise they will tell you what others have said - they assume driver is an idiot/d-bag of some sort, or was gifted the car by some sugar daddy.

Just managed to get a new one for my car. At first it got declined for being an obscenity, but went through the dispute process and got it approved.
SACRBLEU Think it works well on a blue car. Hard to get a personalised plate in Ontario now, almost everything is taken. Our other car has MY MINOU, get lots of pictures taken of it when we are in Quebec. That one got rejected the first time, second time they allowed it. Gee, I wonder why? It is the nickname I have for my wife. Last edited by MightyMouseTech; 09-19-2017 at 10:39 AM.. |

you can obviously transfer it to another car because that's what we did with our old plate to our new car
but your saying I can't transfer it to another driver ? |

In that case I might try for
PUNANI (BBC had a show in which a white guy pretending to be a black guy kept using the term, for a couple of seasons, until someone told the top bosses what it meant) |

When you buy a personalized plate, you have the option to gift it to a family member before registering for the first time. After that, can not change names. |
