Strange question: how many miles did you guys have on your cars when you put your exhausts on?
By the time I have the cash for a performance exhaust, I'm likely to have 80 or 85k on the clock. Still worth it at that point?

im on 71k miles e90 2006. I will be keeping this car for who knows how long but at least another 70k is reachable. for me upgrading my car during its lifetime increases my driving enjoyment as its owner. I get a refreshed feeling and reconnects with the ultimate driving machine. a small upgrade change here and there i like... just to keep it interesting. |

I had mine installed at 11,000 miles. In my opinion if you plan on keeping your car then i think it would be worth it.

I don't remember how many miles I had when I put it on, but it was more than 150,000 mi. I have 183,000 mi now. So, yes. It's worth it.

best exhaust mod??
ive heard updating your exhaust with straight pipes and new headers could give up to 15-20 hp? if thats true, im deff not spending money buying these name brand exhausts that wont even do much but make it sound hot. im tryna give my 328i the most power and the best sound. and straight pipes prob the first and best mod imma put on my ride.

I replaced Remus quad and Duke Dynamics diffuser with Inside Performance muffler and diffuser kit. The problem with Duke Dynamics diffuser was that it didn’t fit properly. The shape isn’t quite right and it’s difficult to bend. Problem with Remus was to make it fit to the diffuser. Advantage of the Inside Performance kit is that the diffuser fits quite nicely and the muffler is made for the diffuser.

Active Autowerke n52 Signature Exhaust 2006 330xi
Heres a video on the AA Signature Exhaust I had installed yesterday on my 06 330xi. Needs time to break in but its pretty sweet still. 82,000 miles.

Been looking for a vid of a 330 with AA signature, thank you!! How's highway/freeway cruising, is the drone really eliminated?

Let me put it this way. I don't mind the sound but my dad, mom, 4 sisters do not like it at all. I put 2 corks in the exhaust mount to reduce the drone as much as possible because it's all caused by vibration I believe. It did help quite a bit but there is a good amount of drone at 2-2.5k RPMs. Like I said I don't mind it. I get more of a headache from my family complaining, but they don't all share the passion for bimmers... I've also only had it for a week so it hasn't broken in yet, just get it man and enjoy it!
