Nice. I was hoping that these features would appear. In fact, i have mentioned the desire for those when V2 just came out.

Shiv is probably waiting for the release of the JB3 and then he will turn up the heat with the new features of the 3.1 Its basically a good tactic....I can't wait for the new maps and the other features that will accompany the new Procede Reader program...

looking forward to the new release, though I have 0 problems w/ the current V3. I will like the ability to choose maps, once they are released of course. I have no need for running the doomsday map right now.

Problems will Vista are actually pretty rare and have to do with the laptop, not inherent incompatibility with the PROcede. Most users who have had problems simply ended up plugging their laptop into the wall or a power inverter to get solid comms.

I think my Lenovo Thinkpad has a similar issue with Windows XP. It only happens with doing logs though. I'll be in the middle of a log and it just disconnects.

Ohh the new software looks much nicer. Haven't been on the boards lately, too busy with work...

BTW, a few months ago I found that all my connection issues (vista) went away when I plugged into an inverter. I informed Dustin and he replied, "thanks, noted."

You're welcome.

+1.

Complete customization ability is something many people have been looking forward to for awhile... but I think most users will just turn everything to the max.

Can't see myself buying one just now (especially as I haven't resolved my wastegate issues), but it's intriguing...

With all the concern over blown turbos, rattling wastegates, and piggy detection, I think most will be careful on how they dial in their set-up. We are BMW owners after all, and not v-tech junkies.

+1. I plan on a 335i DCT for my one. Good question, but I suspect Shiv won't know until he gets working on one, which won't be until MY 2010 (~ Sept., '09) here in the U.S.

Hard to say really. I suspect things will be just fine. The only thing that could throw us for a loom is a re-pinning of the ECU harness. But chances are that there will be a secondary ECU for the DTC and all we would have to do is revise mapping which basically means posting another DTC-specific map on the website to download and use.

With the 'watchdogs' enabled, there is nothing to worry about. Either in respect to fuel consumption (tune detection) or excessive boost pressure.
