This is the Sportec dyno in Switzerland ( Sportec logo on the rear bumper ), a Bosch FLA 206, where I dyno my car. Bosch provides a library of data where car-specific information is loaded to the dyno to get accurate HP / TQ numbers ( crank ). They have the e93 335i steptronic dataset as well.

oh really? I've always loved that photo!

can you take one of your car on that dyno next time you go? Try and replicate the exhaust flames too

And you might want to ask the dyno operator to give a bit more cooldown between runs next time. Those run time-stamps are outrageous! Car wont make the best power if it's only given 20-30 seconds of cooldown between runs. In those conditions, you'll need a solid 2 minutes between runs. Even more if you plan to do more than 3 or 4 runs.
The problem with that is I pay by the hour for dyno time ... :P
At the rate here I would be paying over $40 for cooldown time hehehe. I'll try and negotiate with the owner for dynoing with my next mod... Alcohol/Water injection

Yea it was definitely a great stress test *lol* And the good news is NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT!!!

1320performance is the only shop that has a dyno on maui. but they just moved so the dyno is not in the ground yet. not even sure when they will have it back in. even then, to dyno is like $100 for 3runs and i dont even remember what hourly was.

when i was adapting the v3 to the car, the first two times i floored it i got limp mode(after 2hrs of installing due to my dumbass putting a wire in the wrong slot from uninstalling v2)...i wasn't going to give up so easily. so i put it in low boost and did runs and it worked fine....now in high boost, it seems to hold its own fairly nice. most of the gas stations here suck balls when it comes to getting good gas. on my datalogs things didn't look too smooth and taper was really aggressive, then again it was like 85*+. when i get to 150+ i would see boost at like 8psi haha. but now i just strictly go to this rebuilt shell station...so far so good. before i could feel like i was towing something since it felt like timing was being pulled. how gas can cause so much headaches.

next month im taking it to the drags with DR's and c112(lowest high octane fuel they sell here) just to make sure i have good gas. V3 and Afe intake... we'll see. track is uber slippery the last few months though :-(

Limp mode in Italy now ( beta 7-11 stage 1 map and corresponding firmware, dual cone intake ) :

Quote:
had an "half engine light" appearing while I was accelerating in third gear, low rpm
While V3.1 looks promising, it is time to solve the limp issues now.

Cheers,
Eugen

Go back to the solid v3 maps & firmware. They are beta maps for a reason.

Shiv mentioned on the beta 7-11 page that limp modes might occur. I havent had one yet but I dont drive on map1 LOL. The first thing I do after I start my car is reach up to hit the "ON" button.
