I use V9 too for several weeks and i like it.

I just noticed something (but maybe not related to the tune), when giving some throttle blips to rev match during gear changes at low rpm, it feels like the pedal is less responsive as usual (V7), like a small choking.

Have any of you guys noticed a moment of roughness after coming to a stop. I come to a stop, the engine lingers at ~150 rpm above idle speed and as it drops to idle speed the engine feels slightly rough for a moment.

I just flashed to v9 and totally have the same issue. It feels like it's not running as well. Boost also seems different—less low on the low end. Also seems to shift a bit harder to me. Mid to top end power is nuts. Just did 20+ hours of road trip with it and at 85mph, you tap the pedal and it feels like it's just starting to stretch it's legs.

Yesterday while on I-15 just outside of Baker in bumper to bumper hell at 111F it starting running rough after going WOT when I finally got out of the traffic jam. CEL came on and then went away. Still seemed a bit rough. I pulled over to check the codes and got a 30FF and 2AFF. Cylinder one misfire and the inadequate boost. After I cleared the codes, I drove another 2.5hrs with no issue or return of the problem. Boost was fine. Since the HPFP has been replaced recently, I have less than 5K on the chargepipe, intercooler, walnut blast and plugs, I'm going to attribute that to heat.

I've also had a tiny oil pan leak for a while and have noticed it increased right after the flash. Hard to say whether it's the culprit or things are just a bit worse.

I'm going to flash back to 7.1 today.

I've been driving a lot less so maybe I'm just not noticing it but I haven't noticed this problem recently...maybe it got trimmed out?

But, yea, I love the Alpina + MHD together, it's been running great and just kills it at freeway speeds.

Tried V9 maps, runs ok, but it isn't as snappy or aggressive as V7. 1, so went back to V7. 1.

I've been on v8 stage 2+ since it came out and was on 8.1 before that. I have not had the problems people are reporting. Maybe just dumb luck ? 🤔

Have had v9.0 since it came out and the only issue ive had was that it misfired a lot leaving a restaurant and shut the car off turned it back on, cleared codes, and it stopped. Went home, swapped plugs around to see if misfires follow and it never came back.

This was maybe a month or so ago. I also drive 400 miles a week and this is the only issue ive had since i flashed v9.0

Think im between 10k-15k on these spark plugs so idk if its even the tunes fault

If you are using NGK one or two steps colder, 15k is good point to start thinking about changing them out

Just following up.

Went back to 7.1 and don't see the need to change it—car runs way better, has more low end and no hesitation or running rough like it did on 9.0.

V9 has a bit more throttle response but can be a bit more jerky at times... Not really noticing any more or less power between V7-V8-V9. But V5.1 E40 is still the best map IMO.

I haven't tried V9 maps but as far as I'm concerned the V7 maps are great. I'm more of the if it ain't broke don't mess with it or you'll probably break something mindset...

This is where I'm at too. When you get the fuel and timing right....and it works well for so many cars, what else is there to do really? You can keep playing with a tune forever.....but at a certain point, you are just wasting time and not seeing any gains.

I think they had it all figured out with the V7 tunes....

Yeah, until I bump up to stage 2/2+ I won't be switching maps again.

Not sure if this can be done for OTS maps, as upgraded inlets typically requires a Custom tune.
