Besides one of the Sonax zip kits....there is nothing really left to do if it's still slipping in 5th...besides rebuild the transmission. I'm going to give it a few more days to adjust the adaptations, and then I'll put some power to it and see if it holds it in 5th gear. It does seems to shift a little firmer than before.....so maybe that's a sign that more fluid it making its way through the solenoids. |

****UPDATE****
Well.....I'm excited to say that the new solenoids have appeared to fix the slipping in 5th gear issue I was having. I did three pulls in 5th gear today from 2,000-5,000rpms....no issues at all. Before it was start slipping as soon as the boose and power came on around 3,000 rpms. The only real issue I have now is the slightly rough and awkward shifts I'm getting from the new solenoids. Erikkson said that it's going to take a good 100 or so miles before the transmission makes changes to the adaptations and the shifts smooth out. So at this point....I'm pretty happy!! Hopefully xHP will fix the bug in their newest update so their adaptation reading feature works again. I'm curious as to what my adaptations have changed to after the new solenoids. |

Not sure....the newest version of xHP has a bug where it's not able to read adaptations.....waiting for them to fix the bug. As soon as they get it fixed, I will see what they are and post them up.

Actually, I haven't driven the car at all this week. I hit a piece of wood in the road last week and screwed up th sidewall on one of my front tires. Ordered a new set of Pilot Powers to put on this weekend....then I will be back on the road.

Tires came in yesterday....got them put on.
Drove the car to work this morning....seems to be shifting much better. It's slowly relearning all of the adaptations after I installed the new solenoids. I figure a few more days/miles and everything should be good to go. It does seem to shift much faster than before...I'm assuming that's because of the new solenoids that are working like they are supposed to..... ![]()

I finally got a chance to pull the adaptations after driving a few hundred miles with the new solenoids. The only differences I really see are that the e-clutch and b-clutch are now requiring less pressure (I think that's good...right?). I'm assuming that those two solenoids must have been restricted at some point, and the transmission was trying to bump up the pressure compensate. Now with the new solenoids.....it's not requiring as much pressure??
The transmission still shifts a little notchy sometimes, but it's smoothing out the more I keep driving it. ![]()

I have noticed that now with the new solenoids, all of the shifts seem a little faster/snappier. I'm not sure if that's just because the transmission is still adjusting adaptations, or the new solenoids just flow that much better/faster. It seems like it shifts from reverse to drive pretty harsh.....didn't do that before. |

Just a theory I had, I've got the slip in 5th and a 3rd is a bit harsh, both are ok if I ease off when changing using the paddles and 5th at WOT. It plays up more under light load or normal use, I've got use to manually changing up, it slips in gear now and then as well. I've been quoted £1800 for a rebuild. I could do this first, but then if it doesn't work it's more money on the rebuild ![]() Keep us updated on any thing worth knowing ![]() |

I do have a spare transmission setting in the garage.....might try rebuilding it when I have some free time. But....so far my transmission has been holding the power without any issues after the new solenoids.
