yes.

Twin disk clutches are drop-in upgrades.

Spec makes them, just not for BMW.

Well, a bunch of people make them...


They're nice because they feel soft on your foot, but they hold like crazy.
Only down side is that they are very sensitive - You will stall your car the first time you use one.
But you get a feel for it, and it drives like normal.



Note :

I'm not talking about Twin clutch (Those are two separate single-plate clutches).

I'm talking about a Twin plate clutch (One clutch, two plates - I.E. 2X the surface area)

A couple of thoughts on things I'd like to see:

1. More reasonably priced exhaust system options (around $1,000 or less). We all know it can be done, it's just a matter of someone stepping up to fill this void. Whoever steps up and offers a solid product will make some serious cash.

2. Lightweight parts to help put our cars on a diet without sacrificing reliability. I know there are lightweight batteries out there, but it'd be nice to see more lightweights parts available.

I think on the top of the list we need an upgraded HPFP, something so reliable and durable that we would not have to worry about the hpfp again. Im sure keeping the quality high would make it more costly but Id rather pay more for a better product than buy a cheaper one and keep having to replace it. Obviously the price would have to be reasonable to begin with or no one would buy.

Secondly, I think something like some others were also talking about, an lcd for most, if not all major/minor engine monitoring and adjusting if needed. This would be pretty sick I think, especially for people without idrive. I already have an idrive but who dosent love addtl LCD eye candy.

I also like the idea of the electric plate to keep the car quiet or make it loud if necessary. However I tend to drive my car on "D" for that and "DS" for loudness so I do not know how effective that may turn out.
