They make some big power with the M5. There customer M5's consistently put the smack down on other tuner M5's. |

I dont think Tam's car has a tune. You can confirm with him. We dynoed his car in the morning, put the car on the lift, put the exhaust on and it went straight on the dyno right after.

Who wanted to show me up? Youre in CT, come out, Ill pay for your plane ticket. Yes, I called you out, now what do you have to lose?
We can do more dyno runs and I would love to show you how the stuff works and how/why certain systems make more power than others. Ill show you how our stuff is designed and why. Ill show you how we measure EGTs, EG pressure, velocity, etc. I'll show you how we datalog, dyno, test, log iats, etc. So, if you are someone who learned about this stuff from the forums or because a buddy of yours worked on cars, or maybe you worked on your own stuff and bolted on parts.................. So yeah, who wants to come out? The So Cal guys have no excuse. Its an open invitation. I'd like to know how this system does on other cars with other mods too. Sorry, I didnt answer all the different comments. Some of the guys have no credibility at all so its a waste of time to even answer some of the comments. Note: Do some research about our systems before you want to embarass yourself. We have had guys try from all different forums. Either way, lets do it! Here is an example of a customers friend who didnt believe all he did was our exhaust and scoops. Other than that, his car was stock and you can hear him ask, "What'd you really do to the car?" in the video. Last edited by RPIpower; 02-02-2010 at 03:14 PM.. |

Guess you need to find out for sure that it doesn't have a tune. If it doesn't, then those are some impressive gains and I applaud you on doing some fine work... if the car does have a tune, you may need to change the tune you are whistling about making such gains with just an exhaust. Just my .02 cents

What happens when changing the exhaust system like that is that the DME allows a lot more boost to be run. If you keep running it over and over, the top end power usually dies down....depending on the tune. We see a limp mode issues with piggyback or even poorly tuned DMEs because the so tuner either didnt know how to tune it correctly or the piggyback just cant account for all the adjustments being made by the ecu. Dont get me wrong, the piggybacks make power. Its just not the right way to do it. People do it because it makes power and its cheap. The DME software is really sophisticated so its constantly making adjustments that is in somewhat "fighting" the piggyback. Like I said, lets get some cars here to do more testing and we can video all the sessions. Obviously, Tam is a shy little boy so he probably wont say much on here but the more witnesses we have, the better right? |

Either way, I am DEAD serious about flying the guy out from CT. Ill buy the ticket and post his flight info on the board to see who really needs to be shut up. People dont really do research before opening their big mouths. Cheers! |

to have anyone who is not a monkey believe you......any test needs to be done not on YOUR dyno and not on YOUR car.

I'll be in So Cal in 2 weeks. Can we dyno my AE exhaust first then get your exhaust on? I'd be curious to see the difference since AE claims 12 hp gain,in otherwords, gaining roughly 33 hp. Mods are in my profile, we can keep them on or take them off.

Somebody thats looking for a exhaust should take RPI up on it...I mean there are so many members in CALI, I can't seem to understand why anyone won't take advantage of it and see one and for all if its possible to gain that much power with just exhaust...If so I am buying one and getting rid of mine immediately.

I'm in Cali and hell I'm so pissed at clients right now I would not mind taking a day off say Thursday. My car is box stock so dyno it won't prove anything except what their dyno's reads on a stock car, exaggerated or not. But I would be willing to listen to what they do and how they do it and post it up informally to allow everyone to see. If that works let me know so I can adjust my schedule accordingly.

I'm dumber than you thought because I want the testing to be done by a third party? You're really winning over lots of customers calling folks names!
But seriously, you ship the exhaust out and I'll do same-day back-to-back testing (dyno along with datalogs). Prove me wrong |

Ok so you don't want a third party to test the exhaust, I see what's going on here
I'm not with any vendor, by the way. I just happen to like their products and think you're marketing strategy is extremely questionable. I'd gladly eat my words if you allowed a third party to do testing I want the best for my car. |
