uuuhhhhmmm...

This may be a little more complicated than I am willing to tackle...That's a lot of panel and wiring.

E90 seems a lot more complex than the e46.

I LOVE my 330. I wouldn't trade it away if I didn't have this crazy opportunity to be driving the SAME DAMN CAR, with ZERO miles on it, and TWO TURBO's, for the same or less $ every month.

brother... I've been racking my brain, trying to figure this out:
1) to get to the connector I likely have to take the front bumper off, take the headlight out, and then look at the connector/wires from the front... the wheel well access panel just doesn't give enuff access

2) even if I get that done, I still can't find a pass thru from the side marker to the front.

I'll keep working on this.... will keep you all updated.

No sweat man! Every time I install LUX/LUX 2.0 I take off my front bumper and take out the headlight. It's really not bad at all. There's DIYs on here on where all the bolts are. We can all do this as a team- If we all work together, this can be done!

You guys DO realize that there is no "turn signal connector" on the headlight?

It's internal, the only wires in/out of the headlight are in the main connector.

The actual wire coming from the headlight is the big plug thing- a ton of wires in one. i think matt said the footwell module is your best bet.
Yeah I said this earlier but everyone still seemed optimistic, so I assumed you could tap into that big plug. I honestly have no idea what to do, but if someone figures it out and does a DIY, I'll be one of the first to do it.

wanted: That schematic of the headlight adapter that shows what pin provides power to which light...12 prongs/wires, 2 are empty etc...
I've seen it in a couple of threads but can't find it..
edit: found it
BTW: my pre-sept build 330 doesn't let me menu-control DTR's or auto on/off function.

in the diagram I posted above, does side marker/blinker refer to the parking light in the headlight? The sidemarker shouldn;t be connected thru this assembly, right? would adding the resistor at thsi point be helpful to our endeavor? I still need to find a pass-thru from the side-marker to the headlght assembly.

as per ADHD, in a diff't thread, 96vette didn't know which was which, so he labeled terminal 1 and 12 adn side marker/blinker. Any idea which is which?

One is the halo's, one is the turn signal. =) I BELEIVE, don't know for sure, that 12 is the Halo's. I DO know that the halo's are on the black/green wire. Therefore, the OTHER wire is the turn signal. Add a resistor between the turn signal wire and the ground wire would IN THEORY trick the FRM into thinking there is still a good bulb there.

"halo's" meaning "halogen bulbs" or "angel eye halo's"?

never-mind--doesn't matter. This may be the solution....
we can trick the frm into thinking there is a bulb there, so you can replace with LED turn signal, but how do we connect the sidemarker, assuming you can pull wired from the sidemarker to the headlight? My idea is this:

1.cut the turn signal wire that exists now, and connect the end connected to the junction box to the resistor, and connect the resistor to the ground wire.

2. connect the sidemarker to the xenon assembly wire that ws cut...and the other wire from the sidemarker to the ground. But how do you you know which wire form the sidemarker is the ground? would it be the same color as the ground wire at the headlight assembly? Do we have to attach a ground from the sidemarker? Or just one wire to power the turn signal, since the ground would still be intact inside the assembly unit?

I'm starting to get excited about this again!

WOW I think you guys may be on the verge of a break-through in the "out with the amber" campaign.
