I have and I'd have to admit that the S4 felt amazing, I didn't even mind the lighter steering... engine was superior to the 335i. But I felt that the Quattro gave me way more grip than the 335i but less of a feel for the road. With the BMW I always know what's going on, compared with the S4 where I just had to trust that things would work out.

My understanding has always been that RWD reaches its limits before AWD but that once those limits are reached, the RWD will be more predictable while the AWD will attempt to murder you....

That being said, I'd rock an S4

Both are amazing machines, with the BMW beginning to show signs of age... the tables will be turned again with the F30

It is my daily driver and I can give you my take on confidence behind the steering wheel between the two. I am more confident in taking turns at high speeds in the S4 compared to the 335. The 335 would probably hold it just as well but you feel like you are on the edge when doing it, especially on public roads with oncoming traffic. When I take a long sweeping exit ramp where there is an expansion gap, the RWD e92 when hitting it at high speeds will throw the rear-end out slightly making you a little nervous. With the new quattro and sport rear diff, taking the same exit, I can do it at higher speeds without feeling any loss of control. It inspires confidence knowing that Quattro will safely get you through that maneuver. I will say that BMW has the better steering feel, but insignificant when you put the S4 in Dynamic mode. They are both great cars and I enjoy driving both. I would not have owned two e92's if I didn't like them. Stop being a fanboi and actually be a true enthusiast and appreciate cars for their technology and how competition benefits us all as consumers.

I'm not being a fanboy just provided facts i've researched. I don't deny that in the S4 you would feel more confident but more confidence does not = better handling. In the end it can though if the driver isn't willing to push it beyond his fear to let the car do what it does.

Just to let you know I love Audi's and if I had to get another car other than BMW it deffinately would be an Audi most likely an S4. Both are very good car makers but in the end it's all a matter of prefrence of aesthetics or performance over facts

The S5 can be compared to a 335 in terms of performance #'s, but it's a different class of vehicle in terms of price point and size. we will have to see what shows up with the 2013-14 models to see if audi can properly compete with bmw, i dont think so but it will be close as usual.
