2011 Space Grey / Coral Red
Here are some quick snapshots of my 335iS. I've had it for a few weeks, in that time I've taken it to the track (2 days after pickup) where it handled extremely well. I'm coming from a modified E90 M3 to the iS - which I find a lot easier to drive in the city (especially with the DCT) and the exhaust note is sublime for stock.
Things I'm getting used to: - The steering seems a lot heavier than the M3 but not in a bad way. - The DCT seems a bit sluggish at times in full auto mode. I'm 98% driving in Manual mode to control the gears. Not necessarily a bad thing as it's truly enjoyable to use a (proper) +/- paddle gear set. - Gas Economy is still high - albeit I've taken it at the high end by tracking it so early. I figure this will come down in time on par with a normal N54 335i. I'm averaging the same as my E90 M3 currently (about 1,000km on the odo) - Still can't get used to the cup holders in the 3-series' - The car seems a bit over-badged with one too many 335is' tagged on the sides, interior (cluster and passenger side) and back (normal). May get ride of the side markers. Positives: - Two thumbs up for the LED angel eyes - can't be beat by any aftermarket part. - Exhaust.. love it! - Easy to drive normal and sport mode - Comfortable on long drives, decent legroom in the rear. - BIG trunk. Details: Space Grey / Coral Red Leather 7-Spd DCT |

Had it another week, and I've started using the manual a lot more around town. Even though it's hot as h3ll right now down here, had to drive with windows down to here that exhaust. I'd swear it was popping and snorting like a pig on downshift's.
Not that the Slush-tronic in my 335i was bad by any means, but the DCT is just on a whole other level. One major thing I'd like to know though, is if these BMW Performance Brakes will work on the 335is!??! I find the stock brakes a little underwhelming compared to the rest of the car so far. |

That pic's just wishful thinking I can't find anything that says they'll work on the 335is yet...double .
Might have to go with brembo or stoptech if BMW doesn't come out with something soon. It'd be really nice to have something from BMW though. |

How about a LeMans Blue for the thread. 19"s & 20% tint. Waiting for someone to add the color to their system so I can get reflectors and spoiler.

With the 19's the car just begs for a drop. The front fender gap is giant. Unfortunately, a simple set of sport springs with 19's and runflats will probably ride
Who's going to the first one to throw some coilovers on? Or how about the first one to pair one of these with the DCT? |

I wonder how many hours of labor a dealer would charge to install that for the mechanically impaired? |
