In the first run he got me by half a car, before I had to let off, 2nd run he got me better a car or more, I had to shift lanes and I let off. Sherwin kept running all the cars there, so his car was getting heatsoaked, in the next few runs it was pretty even. From a 1st gear roll I bet he widens the gap pretty well, we shall see. We ran from a dig and were spinning the tires for days, and mishifting, he smoked me in that one, lol. It was perfect conditions for me, about 20' above sea level where we ran, anything over 1000' and my car doesn't like it, if we were at elevation he would have really widened the gap. Either way, when I saw him and the 410WHP GTO go at it, it looked to be dead even, but I guess the GTO slightly pulled, we beat a Stage 3+ GTI pretty easily and Ralph's GTRS FWD A4 on race fuel was there, got him pretty good, but there was obviously something wrong with his car as he should pull on me with race fuel, he thinks he figured out what it was, Ralph is def a cool cat, wish we would have filmed all the runs!!!

1/4 eh throw a v8 in any old american car and it owns all...
what I 'd really like to see is how the procede 335i does after a few laps on a racetrack vs a S4 or RS4, heatsoak and all.. no saying any one is better, they are ALL sweet cars, my interests just lie with track days |

If you mean the top gear one...that shows nothing:
they run any random day regardless of weather, rain etc also it is a best one lap..not a ten lap run who has fastest last lap...or other way of going past the couple laps when the turbo is 'cool' |

There is no video of a rs4 vs a 335i on top gear.

I have a friend with 500 bhp on his stage 3 B5 S4...dont totally count them out. I have driven two stage 3 B5 S4s...they go pretty good....and with all wheels turning..it turns into awesome 0-60 times. I am anxious to see what my new 335i will do when I chip it. Thanks for the stories. I drove kujo's car, not chipped...before the exhaust install, and I was impressed. Cant wait to get my hands on mine. |

I thought this was a v8 s4 / rs4 thread? Did i miss the part where someone started calling the b5 s4 slow?
Shit, a b5 stage 3 s4, will blow almost anything out of the road.

I have driven stage 3 S4 before and properly tuned it will destroy any 335 with procede or anything else...
but this is comparing aples to oranges...... stock vs stock the 335 will win. you put a set of bigger turbos on the 335 and have a "stage 3" 335...you will then destroy a stage 3 s4 its like comparying a stock 335 vs a 335 with procede....there is no comparsent. and stock vs stock you will be a b6 and b7 S4 (v8's) |

not all of them have stage3 (I think)?
just take it as a fun day out, it'd be nice to see how far a stage3 can pull away. I've never driven a b6/7 s4, can only relate to a b5 stage3 . |

Its hard not to say this but right now you sound like an instigator. Like cea said. Your trying to pit a 330/380 wtq at most sedan (cea's car) vs a 400+ awdhp stage 3 s4. What do you think the out come will be? Stage 2 or stage 3 minus would be a lot more even race. Thats why like i said im going to race the 331 awdhp TT first.

Driver72 claims he easily "walked" a chipped B6S4, there's no point racing stage 1 B5 S4 now isnt there?
Dont be alarmed by the hp figures, the S4 still has to deal with it's weight(nearly 1.8tonne with driver) and awd losses. I'd be most interested see a low speed roll start up to 150mph. I'm not trying to degrade the 335i by staging it to be outrun by a stage3 S4, heck, I'd even be proud and hoping for mine to come soon if it can hang on to the S4's tail. |

Dude... those are 400-500 awdhp. Not crank numbers. The b5 s4 is about 3800 lbs only 200 lbs more than the 335i. If your making that much awhp it doent matter how much you weigh. Of course driver walked a chiped b6s4 they only make around 280 awhp stock. A reflash wont add a lot to a NA engine. He beat a 3900-4000 lbs car making 50-60 whp/wtq less than him. What do expect? I use to have a b6 s4 with bolt ons, and I use to get walked by minor bolt on m3's. A lot of the bmw owners use to be audi owners as well. So we know how fast they are. Theres a lot of educated people on this forum as yours. And the mature ones would say " why the hell would I waste my time to bring my stage 3 s4 making 400-500 whp vs a 330 rwhp car. " I can do quotes from numerous sites. that just a chiped b5 s4 will beat a v8 s4. I have seen with my own eyes. My buddy with a stage 2+ s4 beat a bolt on v8 s4. Now like I said the runs are all being figured out right now. theres no need to say " Oh look at those bmw owners they are afrid to respond to my post. " Just give it time and everything will be worked out. Dont worry about it man give it time and we will have the videos up.

Well I agree and actualy know from experience with driving the rs4...the 335 with procede will beat it with no problem.
however I would take an RS4 over a 335 any day of the weeks for many reasons....one is im an Audi Fan over BMW's and the RS4 is a great peice of work.... i still like BMW's... thats why i have one also. |
