I'm up on the North Shore too. Driving in Boston doesn't bother me much, but I'd also prefer to not deal with it. Fortunately, most meets aren't in the city.

That's some good news for me!
I just got my weathertech mats in and realized there are no hooks for them to stay in place...do I need to add these somehow? It really doesn't feel safe without them. |

Welcome!
Picked up TPMS from Jon (Fore) in Lowell after work. Getting excited for my wheels... Decided on 18x9.5" et19 with 225/40 and 18x11" et32 with 265/35 Light brushed titanium centers with full polished lips (3" front, 4" rear, but possibly 4.5" rear lips depending on brake measurements) |

Any meets in the North Shore area any time soon? I'm interested to meet some new people, see some new cars, and get an opinion on my car from someone who knows what they are doing.

Everyone's still in winter hibernation for the most part. Come Spring, there will be more activity. Check here and also YuppieRacing for events (YR is down for maintenance this week though).

Great day today. Spent 2.5 hours sitting in traffic this morning, then some asswipe breaks into my work car while at the gym and takes my laptop, tablet, iPod, headphones, books, and a nice jacket.
Should have stayed home.

Sorry to hear, bro. You would think someone would have spotted them, being in a pretty high traffic area and all. Do they have cameras in the parking lot?

No cameras in the parking lot, but there are lots of lights. Don't know how someone didn't see/hear. I was there at peak time and it was packed (lots of activity in the lot), and not parked all that far away from the entrance. I'm not sure how the insurance will play out, this was my work car not the E90. So it's under work's commercial insurance.
They stole the books/jacket, but left my $300 Maui Jim glasses which were just sitting on the front seat and phone/wallet/GPS which was sitting right in the glovebox. Go figure. Hopefully I'll know more today. Financial losses aside, it's just a major inconvenience right now.

I know a guy who just had a similar break in. He was parked at a church for a carpool, mid day, no cameras. Stole weird stuff, like head lamps, sleeping bags, a chainsaw. Left behind a $550 jacket. And also left a $1 bill on his driver's seat as an "f u".
But his insurance handled it all no problem. There were even some things that were still there, but filled with shards of glass, that they considered stolen as well, and gave him money for. Good luck, hope it turns out well for you.
