There was a BMW Australia article (it was a link on their Facebook page) which said 2011 would see (if I recall correctly) a new X3, new 5 series touring, new 6 series, new 1 series hatch and revised 1 series coupe. Definitely no mention of a 3 series so it definitely looks like early to mid 2012 at the earliest and that will probably just be the sedan with coupe and touring to follow later so looks like there is plenty of time.
