Would it be cool to ask what the size of the current backlog is?

Shiv,

Get those connectors that you were waiting for? Hate to sound impatient, but..........who am I kidding I am being impatient.

With the continued stories of how procede equipped cars are performing, I am having trouble waiting it out.

This may be a new ProCede ? for Shiv...

Shiv:

I have already placed my order and am anxiously awaiting as well.

My technical question for you is this............

Can I pay EXTRA to Vishnu Tuning to get some strings pulled in the shipping/receiving dept.?

It's worth another $500-$1000 if it were able to happen within days instead of months...just make the check out to Shiv?

I'm kinda serious; PM me.

OC kid

Hi guys,
We got a small shipment of connectors in today. They have been forwarded to our harness people and I should have 15 kits ready to ship next week. So there are 15 people out there that have had their balance charged today and will be recieving a much-awaited box in the mail next week.

I'm still waiting on my giant order of connectors which has supposedly already shipped from Japan. Once I get those, there will be no supply bottlenecks-- allowing us to fill orders as quickly as humanly possible.

Dustin and I filmed the installation video this past weekend and it should be fully edited, dubbed and ready to go in time for those 15 shipped kits next week. If you haven't received a phone call or message from us in the last couple of days and want to know if you are in this elite group, just check your cc bill and see if you've been charged the balance of your order. If you have, your in luck. If not, you'll be in luck soon.

As for Xede beta testers, I tested the plug-in conversion harness today on a local beta car and it work just fine. I used his car to document the install (with photos) so you not-so-local guys don't have any problems when it comes time to convert. Xede-to-PROcede converts don't have to worry about the pending order of connectors from Japan since they don't need them to convert (they already have them in their Xede harness which they will be re-using with the PROCede). But they do need proper instructions which I'm working on now. The conversion harness are made, courtesy of Dustin, so all that is left is instructions/pics.

Unfortunately, I am leaving for LA tonight for a European Car magazine test/photo shoot (cover story!). I'll be back on Friday and will spend the weekend making the Xede-to-PROcede conversion notes. All you eager Beta folks should have their goods next week.

So the next couple of weeks will be very busy for us so if you don't see me post much, you'll know why

Cheers,
shiv

Great !
I'll probably be placing my order at the end of the week.
How much of a deposit do you charge before the unit get shipped and the balance gets billed ?

Will the switcher and code reader be sent in the next batch of orders ?

Also, did you 'train' Dan Harmann while at his shop, on the install procedure ?
I'd love to have them install and dyno my car, as my prototype exhaust should be done by this weekend.

Cheers,
kj

The deposit was $260. Not that I know that from experience or anything...

Shiv-

So, on your best guestimation... if I ordered mid December, should I receive my Procede before the e146 380i arrives in al of its 600hp glory? Just kidding, great job on the whole process and I look forward to the surreal experience of 50 extra hp. A more detailed timeframe of when our preorders will tenatively ship would make me feel less like I'm passed out at a video-poker machine, certain that the next hand will make me beauitful AND fast.

Hi Shiv,
Having almost 5000kms on my 335 already and reading all this info on the procede, I would really like to "proceed" with getting my hands on one. I have some questions though. The USA has crap fuel and we in Australia tend to use 98 octane fuel (95 in emergencies). So- do you/ can you have a map for 98 octane. Can you make a map for fuel efficient driving (for commutes) and the other for power driving (weekends in the hills)? Also, would the remote to change the maps be ready soon?

What you have done with the procede is pure magic- something BMW should learn from (They have one marketing problem though- it's called the new M3!). Congratulations and I can't wait to place my order if you can address the Aussie issues.

I just got charged as well!!! I received an email from Calvin about some issues, but they're resolved now. I ordered mine as soon as it was on the website back in December.

Thanks Vishnu!

How does the PROcede change the difference between the "D" and "DS" modes for those of us with automatics? I've tried searching but I don't think anyone has commented on this yet.
