These dyno's look to be the most realistic I've seen a while, glad to see everything done 1 by 1 too.

Sneak Peak. We have our GTR on the lift right now, so I can't get any under shots until later on this evening.

This is the prototype unit.

The exhaust system comes in 3 main sections. The catback, Mid Section which includes an "X" pipe and the 2 upper pipes to connect to the downpipe. All piping is stainless steel and all connections use SS v-bands.

I will take some video during lunch today.

Michael

However, I think the dyno comparisons are much preferred. If I had a stock car with a procede, these dynos are worth more than gold; showing the improvements and efficiency that is enabled by adding the various parts. Obviously Mike isn't saying this completely stock car with zero changes got a bunch more HP with zero changes.

Would it be worthwhile to see what gains these products had on a JB3 (non-autotune)?? Probably. But that just wasn't in the cards this time around.

Side note- I'm pretty surprised at the gains seen from adding the DP-back exhaust with stock downpipes...kinda cool.
Don't get me wrong, I respect the work ETS is doing and fully appreciate the dyno comparisons as they really tell the story on autotune and how important these mods are in terms of power BUT they're not "fair" comparisons given the way they've been portrayed...all I'm saying is that plotting the boost curves with the dyno numbers would've made this 110% legit and not misleading in the least bit...a lot of people will use the numbers in these dyno before/after graphs to compare with other mods...can't wait to see threads pop up along the lines: ETS FMIC vs HPF FMIC, is ETS better because it makes 20-60whp and seeing 12-25whp claimed by everyone else...

just my opinion obviously so no need to argue it..

last 2 graphs have a weird curve and the last one has peak HP at 5300rpm, then really drops off. Were you at a fairly steady 2 for aggression in each run? Was this all on the same day?

Good job!!

Nicely done. Now I just need to stumble across $1500 for an intercooler and downpipes.

They were all back to back on the same day. It was a long day to say the least.

I got a new Injen intake for $300 from Amazon. Since the Injen intake contains an air deflector and power steering reservoir bracket along with lots of additional hardware bits, i would expect a fair price for the ETS intake to be $179

I can see advantages to both approaches in evaluating mods. keeping steady PSI will show iat density and VE advantages, but the timing curve will be altered kinda throwing off the results. With autotune you tune per the mod, which is like a NA engine with increased MAF per higher VE. it's tricky with N54 tuning.

The N55 will make decent power but the single turbo can not flow as much air as the twins on the n54 so you will probably not see 400whp out of it.

Great work Michael. Thread was a nice touch.

These dyno before/after comparisons are majorly flawed as boost isn't constant and they really mislead people into thinking adding an FMIC will give them 50-60whp in certain areas of the power curve from that bolton..that's sneaky marketing as power is due to raised boost and higher timing provided by procede's autotune

I think if you want to be fair with these dyno graphs you should explain that the boltons on their own do not provide the gains depicted...only when mated with a tune that takes advantage of them with higher boost and timing will they see these gains
Why else would you buy the parts if you dont have a tune. Not sure how this is flawed he stated exactly what he did???

Why don't the dyno runs shows afr's? Are they lean? Just a thought.

I agree, its Common sense that each mod needs to bring the AFR back in check and the reason why you must tune for the mods..

what are you talking about?? aren't you a tuner type shop? Their's no tuning for AFR.... the procede will target a certain map no matter what your settings. The older maps leaner in mid-range, but still a good curve. with any tune, no matter your mods a certain AFR will be targeted
