According to Dinan and a BMW mechanic thats a good friend of mine in another state. The problem is with BMW, not the tune. Like I said in another post BMW has already replaced a few motors in cars that haven't been tuned with the same problem as mine. Its starting to become a known issue that the N54 injectors fail ultimately causeing problems in the cylinder...ie rod bearing damage. BMW would be replacing my motor to if I didn't have a tune on the car. They're just using that as a crutch and Dinan is really going out of their way to not leave me hanging

Dinan has been helping me since i got my other 335. Got upgraded trubos and injectors and never had any problem. Just got a new car and it has some dinan mods on it too.

My cylinder 6 injector was bad too. knock on wood nothing happens! I got injectors replaced under warranty recently. In fact cylinder 6 has all sorts of issues on completely stock cars, and I honestly don't see how tune did anything to it. It seems cylinder 6 also doesn't get enough cooling as we all know. Be happy they gave a new engine IMO.

BMW NA is crap. BMW's quality of service is really going down hill fast. I hope they fix this flaw.

Thinking of making a project out of it? Would be interesting to see what an E36 swap might be like.

Good luck with that one! Dinan and blowing doors off, don't belong in the same sentence. Unless you are comparing it to a stock car. Its a known fact the other flashes or piggies product more power, but Dinan has the warranty factor behind it, like the OP was able to use in this thread.

Glad it all worked out, but my sense is the regional BMW rep didn't do his job. And it can be very dealership dependent on the relationship with BMW NA.

That's really good news.
I had my car Dinan flashed at an indy shop. A few months later, two injectors and a low-pressure fuel pump went out. I took the car to my regular dealership (also a Dinan dealer)... they replaced everything, no questions. I told them my car was Dinan-flashed and they didn't care. |

magnuson -moss sact does say they have the burden of proving it was the tune...seems unlikely.
That being said, Dinan will cover if BMW says it was them...or they will hash it out with BMW. If that doesn't work find a lawyer who knows warranty law. edit: nvm ...glad you got it solved
