I'm going to pick up a wheel and do the same thing. I assume that a front wheel will fit on the back on a staggered setup but not vice versa. Correct? |

I assumed that the front size would fit on the rears yeah. I am not positive. This wheel fitting stuff is new to me but it makes sense... Can anyone else comment on this? |

I got rid of my rft's last winter for dunlop wintersport 3d's, and now am on new wheels with hankook ventus v12 evo blahblah whatever its called.
I agree with dafish, the cars suspension was clearly designed with these rft's in mind. The car will feel more pitchy without the rft's stiff sidewall but I would say overall grip is better with any decent tire over the stockies. As he said as well especially off the line, the sidewall flex of a non rft tire will give you much better traction. Personally beyond all that I hated the bone jarring nature of the rft's. With its super stiff sidewall the car felt synthetic. I'm still on stock suspension now but I need to upgrade soon this body roll is hurtin! |

I don't notice much difference in cornering with non RFT's. I do have KW coilovers, so maybe that also helps? Next mod is a LSD, then maybe M3 parts?

Dropped mine in favor of PS2's. got the spare wheel and tire from Bav Auto and the jack/lug wrench/wheel chock from a junk yard E60. The spare really doesn't eat up that much room. Ideally there would be a spot for it, but it is livable as is.

i switched mine to hankooks, it felt like i was floating on clouds. but then came across a set of hardly used runflats so i figured what the hell, and went back. i dont really care either way. in 6 to 8 months i will need a new set, so if you have 18" wheels, hate your run flats and live in driving distance of houston texas, because im not interested in shipping used tires unless you want to give them away, pm me i will take them off your hands. bottom line is your run flats are only as bad as the road you drive them on.

Got Tc klines. Put runflats on and didn't think/feel there was much of a difference. 2 weeks in I started going crzy cuz I could feel every little bump on the road and the car would bounce everywhere on impact.
Got conti extreme Dw summers and the difference was night & day. Love my coilovers and love my tires. |
