WHAT IS GOING ON
Did you re-install it or did you test it stock? In stock form it may not throw the code because the boost is stock compared to the tune which increases the boost.

Troubleshooting is a pain. Have you contacted anyone at Cobb about this? They'll probably want you to do a few logs and send them in.

BTW, 140???

FYI, I threw a bunch of codes using certain maps...once I switched to 3.01, they went away and the car runs great. It might be something as buggy as that.

Sometimes for stock boost the margin of difference is not enough to throw a code, but on high boost applications it may be.

Troubleshooting boost leaks is quite the pain.

The best method is to hook up a pressurized line to 20 PSI PRE-intercooler and at that point you would likely hear the leak.

Some people do what is referred to as a smoke test but those dont really do anything as they are not pressurized. Where some of these lines may appear ok, when they are under 15+ PSI they will expand and might leak at that point.

If you have the means replace all the Vac lines.

If its still a problem it may be your DV's.

Im not really sure how I can cap off each turbo so I could find the leak. I think I'm going to end up taking it to a local euro shop. Just have to find one i trust now.

BTW car's a pig stock.

This community is awesome! Its great that people are taking the time to help this guy out!

FWIW, I threw the 30FF code at 15 psi, but wouldn't throw at 13 psi. I changed to the Forge Diverter valves and put in the yellow springs, and I am good to go at 15 psi now. Good luck!

There's a DIY somewhere but what it ends up being is you remove the pre intercooler inlet, attach a PVC pipe with a closed end, thread it for an air fitting, and have at it. It's a good amount of work. How many miles are on the car?

I know you did your HW as far as finding all the VAC lines but now you need to start playing around with them.

Update:

We did a smoke test throughout the entire system and the guy that was doing it said he didn't see anything. So now I'm blown away.

It only happens after 4-5 sometimes 8-9 seconds of constant 13.5 psi boost.

E90SoFlo,

Have you send us logs? If not, update to the latest release or beta firmware, make sure you are using the default logging parameters, and send me some WOT 3rd gear pulls from 2000-6000RPM (if you can get there). From that I can see how the car is targeting and actually hitting. This will give me allow me to 100% determine if it's a leak. Between those two codes, it's likely a leak somewhere in the system. I do apologize as this kind of diagnosis can be very frustrating.

Cheers,
Rob

Concur with Jeff about pressure test. Smoke tests can be false indicators.

I built a PVC cap with a tire pressure fitting, and a pressure gauge for less than $20 bucks.
