BTW, I just read on another forum that they think BMW will be flooding the marketplace with the new 1 series to combat Audi in the entry level market. The news is that anyone placing their order for a new 5 series or higher, will be getting a new 1 series of their choice absolutely free.
OH Sweet, Can I get a Blue One???:rocks:

The current production has stopped so that they can start the '08 facelifted 320hp version.

I don’t believe BMW has a production problem. The production of the other engine models (320/325/330/330d/335d) is still running. So it’s nonsense there are problems with the production facilities.

I ordered my 335i E93 in March. The production date would be week 19 (this week). My dealer called me last week, to say that the production of the 335i cars is postponed for 4 to 6 weeks.
He ensured me that I will get the car in the 1 or second week of June.
The reason for the postpone was delivery problems from a BMW supplier (I think Siemens) for higher capacity fuel pumps.
I don’t know how it works in the States but I’m living in Holland and my dealer is very big and buys the cars directly from BMW AG.

So when I read all the Fuel pump problem topics on the E90post forum and I’m also reading the German forum (http://www.auto-treff.com/bmw/) with topics about the fuel pump problems.
I can only conclude that my dealer tells me the trued.

Sorry for my English but I wanted to share my thoughts with you, about the reason of the production delay.

They are building 335, today in fact.

The misinformation here is aggravating.

I ordered a 335 aproximately a month ago and it has completed production.
Last week I changed my mind with the color and ordered a different color.
The second one started production Friday of last week.

So, based on my experience, the 335s are still moving right along.
I was a lttle worried when I initially read this thread, but it is not true.

I just test drove a 335i coupe here in England this weekend and the sales lady said that BMW has reached their production limit for 2007. She told me even if I order today, I won't get one until Jan/Feb of 2008. She said this is what she heard from Germany but she was getting more information for me. Now this may be just for this dealer (Park Lane Mil) but it sounds like BMW has reached their capacity to produce MY 2007 vehicles and it's only May!

Well, by all means don't let me stop you.

Since there are already about 30 pointless posts in this thread (because the topic is pointless), I'm sure you could post 5 or 10 times more in this thread and really get your post count up.

Hey, look, I'm doing the same thing... +1 on my post count too!

I asked a friend in Germany to check into this and he contacted someone he knows who works at BMW. The guy checked around and he said he has not heard of any production problems on the 3 line. Here's the reply:
"Habe bei bmw nachgefragt es ist nichts bekannt von technischen Problemen"

I heard a rumor that release date for the 2008 535 Touring was being delayed . . . something to do with a problem with the production of the engine . . . . so they say.

The production has not stopped. They are not taking new orders to this year's production. if you order now, the delivery will be in early 2008.

you mean this only applies on 335i coupé, or as well for sedan, wagon and cc?

The delays are not due to technical problems. They have capacity problems to manufacture enough 335 engines to meet the huge demand. So this concerns all models with that engine, not just coupe. If I hear that my car is not in production as promised I will cancel my order and buy a S5.
