finally on U.S. soil!!!

so whats the usual wait time from docking to delivery? I live around 6 1/2 hours away from Charleston so luckily they wont have to travel too far to get to me.

WOW!! You lucky dawg... I read on this forum that it takes about 7 days at the VPC and 3 days for delivery... but since you're so close, maybe it'll take even less than that!!

i was just reading some posts in the "april production" thread and i found this post from a guy who's ship docked on 5/6 in Charleston, SC and was delivered to him in Houston, TX on 5/12.... now that means that it only took 6 days to go through the VPC and get on board a truck and travel all the way to Texas. This is good to know because it sounds like the cars are getting through the VPC really quick at the Charleston Port.

That means that all of the cars are off the Western Highway and going through the VPC. It only took a total of about 13 hours to dock...unload all the vehicles...refuel...ect...and depart the port. Thats hauling some major ass if you think about it. Glad to know that they don't waste their time over there

Now, im just hoping that ours cars were the last ones loaded on the ship so that they would be the first ones off...less time at the VPC!!

Just to let you guys know. My salesman called me today and told me that my car was through VPC, and on a truck to Louisiana. He expects it Monday night or Tuesday night, and I should get it Tuesday or Wednesday!! Hope for Tuesday, as I'm off from work that day...

You know it was funny... today I got busted by another e92 owner for checking out his car... I had dinner at Goode Company Seafood here in Houston, and there was a black 328i coupe outside... and I was sitting there gushing about it and he came out with is g/f HAHA... damn I can't wait... :rocks:

My CA contacted me yesterday afternoon with a status report. My car was estimated to get out of VPC on the 28th but actually went out the 25th. It should be on a truck right now, there is a very slight chance I could be picking it up Monday

Mine is being delivered to Atlanta, so the trip from SC shouldnt take long.

Just got off the phone with my CA and he said that my car has been through the VPC and on a truck headed my way. He said he will have it ready by Tuesday afternoon.

Just ordered my Painted Reflectors yesterday, and going to buy the ///M shifter knob today. Those will be my very first mods. Then aero lip and Procede will follow

I ordered mine about a month and a half ago, and it was JUST delivered to my apt in San Antonio a couple days ago and I'm selling it... do you want to buy it from me? I'm selling for $1380 (same price as from Vishnu) and it's brand new (i haven't even opened the box yet) and you won't have to wait the month and a half to get it... let me know if you are interested

My CA 'thinks' it will Tuesday afternoon. He said BMW plans on loading them Monday and shipping them Tues. The suspense is killing me

My CA told me the 29th, but the soonest I'll be able to make it to the dealership to take delivery is this Friday.

so it seems that they don't need to prepare it at the dealership at all... maybe give it a quick clean, but thats about it, huh?

BMW ships the cars on Monday, delivered Tuesday, and we get them Tues/Wed huh... not bad... I HAVE to be in San Antonio (3 hours from Houston) by 12:00PM on Wednesday... hope I can drive it back with me...
