lmao I've been guilty of this before. I'm more inclined to be friendly to a BMW driver, specifically someone I can guess is an enthusiast, than anyone else on the road.

I usually give other enthusiasts I spot a as I drive by.

Here's my take. I assume that every single person who sees me in my car automatically classifies me as "just another asshole in a BMW". So, what i do is i always make sure that I give them the right of way, whether it be to another car at an intersection or people crossing in front of me. That way, hopefully they change their perception about BMW drivers.

I wouldn't doubt there are people living paycheck to paycheck and in their moms basement spending all their money on their coveted M3s and the likes.
