Now I gotta check out these PSS' when my Conti DW's wear out. Been hearing nothing but awesome stuff about them, even though they come at a premium. The DW's won during my last decision because of the cheaper price and longer tread life.

Gotta love that LMB.

FWIW, in going through this thread again, on OEM 18's, I was able to fit 275/35's without rubbing and no spacers. As long as the wheel will support it, I would have more rubber to the ground than smaller tire + spacers. Just my 2c.

Not on my original 18's, I wasn't. The ones on the car now are different...different wheels, different tires.

Lowered. The PSS have a wide shoulder on them but I'm not too keen on rolling my fenders. The rubbing isn't too bad and rarely happens. I know how to avoid it.

Ah, lowered. At stock RH I assume, in the absence of 500 lbs of in-laws in my back seat, under heavy corning I should not experience rubbing with a similar wheel/tire/spacer setup.

I rub all the time with stock RH, pss 255 & 12mm spacers.
I also own a LCI 335d m-sport

Formerly, it was a full-time Summer setup, on the BMW. And I would drive a Jeep in the snow.

At this point:

Golf R on Conti Extreme DW Summers with OZ wheels, during the warm months.
Golf R on OEM wheels and OEM all seasons, during the cold.
335D on OEM wheels and Conti Extreme DWS full-time.

I will use the 335D for work trips, touring with the wife.
The Golf is used for car club cruises, track, occasional work duty.

The 335D is great, but it's a pig, now, compared to the Golf. 3,825 lbs.

The Golf is tuned (APR stage 1.5), rocking 335hp, 338trq, awd (controllable), weighs in at 3,280 lbs, manual trans. it's just too much fun!
