I was hoping to post nice pictures of my car after Dave installed the coilovers today, but unfrotunately that isn't going to happen.

Dave had to postpone and my new install date is September 1st.

I feel like Christmas just got moved to January...even worse, I can see what presents are under the tree, I just can't touch them.

These cars are nice to work on because nothing is rusted/frozen together, typically. Hope you get them in soon

Me too.

If only I had the garage, tools, and skills. :-(

George

I've done a bunch of installs in driveways on jackstands. It's not fun, but can be done .

I'll be throwing the V1's in my car some time this week most likely. It's going to be hot so I'm sure that will be fun. There's a handful of us in the Boston area, though - should get a meet going at some point.

Saw Dave today and he did the install. Quick and efficient.

Ride is definitely very different.

On the positive side:

Way better handling!! I didn't fully appreciate what everybody meant when they said that the XI "floated". Now the car feels planted to the road and super responsive.

On the negative side:

You really feel the road significantly more! It's not necessarily jarring or rough, but it is going to take some getting used to.

I'll post some pics tomorrow.

That initial harshness where you feel every crack on the road will go away. I was concerned with that as well when I drove it from Dave's shop but it eventually got a lot smoother

Looks awesome! That's how a car's stance should be from factory!
