Can someone kindly explain how to take off the ashtray lid? I got everything else out ok, but would like to get the ashtray lid off without destroying it, which I will likely do.

black tab looking things are part of the trim, gray box on bottom is the ashtray bottom (lid attaches to it via those holes w/tiny tabs)

So drving home today I tried hammering it down a little more than usual. Something doesn't seem right. There feels like there is a lag right of the line, then kicks in for a while, then seems to die off. When driving with Ben today, his car felt totally different. Weird. You guys think it is the AWD? I know it makes a difference. ?????

Stage 1 - stock car no mods needed.
Stage 2 - intake, cat back exhaust. Stage 3 - intake, downpipes with at least high flow cats, catback exhaust, FMIC.

interesting they dont require lack of cats anywhere along the line for the power they say they should get?..id be curious to see how that comes out w/o freeing up the exhaust

jay is slightly misinformed about required mods stage 1: nothing stock is fine stage 2: intake, catback catted is fine stage 3: intake, catless turboback, intercooler they're still working on stage 2 and 3 but man i was telling jay about it and the curves that LET is doing are crazy smooth compared to the horse power. it may not have the overall power that the procede does but the smoothness is uncompareable. the guys engine with the procede was beating like a heart beat. made me very nervous. oh and jay i'm going to see the BT scanner and see the lack of codes, they're getting a F1 or whatever (what the dealer uses) to try and get into more maps and make it even more user friendly. They've only been tuning this car for 3 months and i'm shocked at what they're doing. Very very happy with what i've seen so far.

well its kinda hairy because they don't have stage 2 and 3 done yet.
with the boost numbers they're pushing for stage 3 they should be catless

Whatcha mean by beating like a heartbeat??
I guess it depends on mods as well...each stage procede map has certain mods it works best with. In il since we have 93 oct, you can get away with running stage 1 instead of 0...but in reality, stage 1 needs intake/and 1 cat less to work properly at 90-91%tq values... If you try to bump the torque values, or it's too hot out and you don't have the right mods or the stage, the car won't perform as designed and it'll cut tq etc That being said...I am not sure which car you were referring to, or that cars mods, but I'm assuming you were talking about some dyno you saw today which mightve been bouncy on the chart at say...4200rpm? If that's the case, it's a combo of things, but a decent portion of it has to do with airflow while cruising vs driving, as the way the procede is mapped, the vanos shift at that pt is occasionally pronounced on a dyno, but not while driving... A fully adapted map with proper mods should not only dyno very smooth (as seen with numerous dynos here), but be a very consistent delivery of power with 10-15% more dc stress vs stock Either way, I'm curious since I'm mo sure what you were referring to yet....but I think if you ask carlos how the ride was in my manual procede full stage 1...smooth is one of the adjectives that might be used
