"If you enter this house uninvited there's a very good chance you'll die from a serious case of lead poisoning." All the "o's" were bullet holes. Saw one in Texas I also liked. It was a sign with crossed 1911's that said "We don't dial 911!"

Yes, you have plenty of company. Funny, that isn't comforting.

Some recent posts are turning this great thread of yours into a political turd bowl. I was about to suggest that you arrest the offenders and put them in thread jacking jail....

We do a fairly decent job of not lane straddling, but sometimes crime, the decision not/to prosecute criminals, and the constraints placed on law enforcement directly or indirectly involves politics/political leanings. We right the course fairly quickly though.

So I thought this was interesting - a native in Saskatchewan went around stabbing people after a previous history of violent offenses (but hey native so be racist to keep him locked up meanwhile Tamara lich is a very dangerous woman and they tried to keep her in jail for organizing the freedom convoy)... his brother was apparently suspected to be part of the serial killings but then this guy killed his own brother too looks like.

So they finally arrest this guy, doesn't say there was a shootout or anything, but then they say that this guy "went into medical distress shortly after being arrested" and was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. I have no problem with the outcome but you figure the officers "assisted" in bringing on the "medical distress" or just took the long way to the hospital when they saw he needed help. I know I'd be thinking about stopping along the way to the hospital for every Jay walker I found or any other infringement of the law.

In the old days I can see what your suggesting as having some legs, but given reviews and investigations of in custody deaths and frankly once someone is in custody nobody wants to go through that process I'm going to suggest that the medical distress was a result of actions while he was bing taken into custody or something self inflicted. I suspect there will be some light shed on this though.

Oh, and FTR we are all better off for his departure.

Agreed, no tears shed here for his departure. Clearly the parole system was unable to do their job and now that's one less person they can put back on the streets to harm innocent people.

Here's a happy news story in our regional press, showing the body cam video of a State Trooper who dove into a pond to pull a trapped driver out of their submerged car:

Heck, I'd be OK if this scumbag was handled abruptly during the process of arrest. But I don't think police in north America want or need the hassle of being overzealous with how they arrest people any longer. Betting it was self inflicted. And you know what? I'm OK if the police didn't move as fast as they could to render aid.

Sedan, in Pomona there was a street takeover, in which police confiscated about 19 cars. What happens to these cars?

The cars are impounded for 30-days and the offenders are cited for exhibition of speed or speed contest.

Conducted a traffic stop for driving while using a cellular phone (…23123(a) CVC) and the driver had a suspended license. A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of an illegal firearm/ghost gun (…Walther PPS copy). Yay!

I think they should take those cars permanently. Maybe that would help to persuade the offenders to knock it the f**k off.

I agree. My actual reaction was, “that’s it??” I hope they have to, at least, also pay impound fees.

The impound fees add up quickly; easily a few grand.

30 days impound fee is often more than most cars are worth. Here local it's -175/day

Yep, and those who can't afford to pay the fees ultimately lose the vehicle(s). Those vehicles end up at police impound auctions or part of our undercover fleet.
