Wow C5, that's a beautiful shot of a very beautiful young lady.
My trip to the West Beach last night to capture shots of The Red Arrows aerobatic team was a waste of time. Unfortunately, due to bad weather, they diverted down the West Coast of Scotland back to England, so I never got to see them. In order to satisfy the 'request' from Dave for an in-flight shot, this gull was the only thing I saw above head height last night ! Gull in Flight by Alan Butterfield, on Flickr

Thanks guys.
Talk about whiskers, I love your young lady C5. Did you use a gold reflector, or what to get that great light? It really works on a blond. Dave

Well done, my friend. I like the vignette added in post. I hardly ever do that, but should probably do it more, particularly when the BG is plain and very even.

If you've got another shoot planned with her, do you need anyone to hold a reflector or anything

This one looks like a Model Railroader Magazine cover to me Above Mill Creek by lennycarl08, on Flickr |

That's a great railway shot Ed, taken in a fabulous location and, as you say, looks like a perfect cover shot for a model railway magazine.
ps. Just had a look at the 'landscape' versions you also have on Flickr . . . just great.

It was a bit of a grab shot really. I had just got home and was about to put my car in the garage, when I saw the almost full moon in the south east. I was struck by the number of gulls that seemed to be flying around the moon. Gulls and Moon by Alan Butterfield, on Flickr

A little HDR treatment and you can make it un-real.
Love it as is. That's quite a steep hill for a train.

A quick shot of the conversion from my driveway. By the time it was dark they were already getting low in the sky, so I didn't have a clear view.
