there isnt alot of money in it at all. i was gonna open a bike shop a few years ago, but i waited til i had a wife and 2 kids and was too afraid to make the jump cuz i needed the health benefits and stable paycheck cuz my wife didnt work

as long as there is forum haters, the respect will never be there, look at other sites, its the same thing, people who really know their shit for dirt bikes, or cars, are getting critisized for shit that was out of their control.

me and alex were talking last night about dyno's and how shops with dyno's get bad names for themselves cuz kids bring their cars to the dyno after they did the work themselves, the car blows up, and all anyone wants to remember is that so and so shop blew up a car on the dyno

haha i would love to, i prefer working on bikes then cars, just cooler work and its a different kind of customer. i do some bike work, i rebuild two yamaha carbs for the owners of the shop building, i have emailed a few people on craiglist that were looking for streetbike work that i seen while searching for bikes

sooooooooo true! you tuned my car so you blew it up! well they failed to mention they did the work themselves and didnt know what the hell they were doing and when the a-f ratio was spiking they didnt pay any attention to it!

exactly, our customer was saying yesterday, this guy had a very successful shop in nj tuning 350z's and kids would come there with a bone stock engine, throw a 150hp shot of nitrous on themselves and dyno at his place, then of course the engine destroyed itself, and now he is no longer in business cuz of a bad rep that he did not create

sweet! yeah I am game for anything like that as well, I have done enough work for people that I feel comfortable doing pretty much anything, until it comes to electrical! I dont know that shit at all. When it comes to cars and bikes it just does something for me. I shoulda went to MIT! I dont know something about it just calms me down!!!
