Yes I agree if Helix had implemented this feature into their design, I probably go with their tune...I don't understand why they went that route...The internet is definately an advantage that V2 has over them and for some, not all will make people purchase the V2 unit over theirs because of the convience of updating through the web...I am not one of those that are crazy for the most HP. Most of the V2 problems I will probably never have because I really don't take the car to the limit everyday like some of the OPs hear...

i don't really see the huge benefit of the maps especially if it takes months to release one.
last time when the 2.02 map had a bug, Shiv was quick to fix it...but now with the Evo and STI crowd around the corner...it looks like it's taking them forever to release a map for DP's. so i don't really see the need for maps give me a powerfull/safe tune. Period!

Newsflash: The downpipe map is nothing more than a standard v2.0.2 map that has been adjusted for less top end boost taper. Basically takes 330whp (power output at 90%) to 360-370whp on pump gas. It's something that people can do themselves with the help of a boost gauge if they had too. But making a plug-in map for everyone to use, in all conditions, is a bit tougher.
And please stop making a big deal about us tuning Evos. We've done it for the last 5 years. It is not slowing things down with respect to BMW development. Shiv |

Hey Shiv, What is the current ETA on those maps? I will be working on my downpipes once you release the software for it. Are you also going tointegrate O2 simms in the next map? I know you guys are working very hard, but I am like a kid on christmas ![]() Thanks!

Oh, thanks for telling me. Different dynos show different numbers for some reason i tried to dyno my car yesterday on a mustang dyno and got only stock 254rwhp! WTF! The more important thing is to see the difference in stock number vs upgrade numbers.

My advice is for everyone to try and get on a dynojet since that is what Shiv always uses.... Also, use STD correction and smoothing of 5 since that is the "335i industry standard"

I'm sorry if you think pressure being read by the procede and actual pressure in the manifold being different is not an issue worth your time. ![]() I for one would like the base map to work right, shame on me.

those numbers are fine for a mustang dyno...they work differently than the dynojet. I had a dyno done on a mustang dyno too, one the dealership uses so its not tweaked in anyway to read better. With v2 on valet mode i had 270s hp 260s torque...and with the v2 activated it ran 332hp and 337torque i believe. Thats 60hp at thew wheels, which i think is about right. I also have many mods stock so thats why mines more then your 254....nothing to worry about though...go to a dynojet if you wanna stroke your ego.

I was reading on the EVO forums a while back and there was a "how to" on making your own race gas map. Now i'm not going to even inquire as to why it hasn't been introduced here because we all already know (crybabies & incompetent self installers), but will it be available to some of us ANYWHERE in the future? thanks
