nice! I love the pista. Actually the Pista is what drew me to buying the bike i just bought! A long time ago i saw the pista in blue, and i was like damn, i wish bianchi made a road bike w/ a similar looking frame. Turns out they do! haha

That's my new bike. It's the Imola. Just got it a week ago. I ride mostly on roads and paved bike routes. I'm on road tires, so i don't even bother trying to go on dirt at all haha. I usually try to ride fitness oriented, but when riding w/ other people i'm down for speed or just cruisin'. I just love to be on my bike!

and here's a shot of my commuter as well

Where do you ride mostly? We could go out and be all matchy w/ our bianchis

Hey dudes. Back from the Blox show. Pretty cool event.
Cops just waiting outside and busting people, not so cool.

Roberator, I came hella late (at like 3pm) because I was at the AT&T store trying to get my phone working again. My SIM got deactivated when my dad renewed our contract and my new SIM is in NJ. D'oh.

I heard Zoeb got pulled over or something like that?!

thanks man! I had been drooling over it for almost a year now, but never had the balls to pull the trigger lol. Finally said fuck it and spoiled myself for my recent bday. I got it for $1100 OTD (msrp= $1300). I know i'm paying a premium just cause it's a bianchi, but i love it!

any ideas on what kind of bike you're looking to pick up?

No front plate?

Yeah, so lame! I saw at least 3 cars pulled over on Christy - 2 jdms and a bimmer (white or silver, I forgot). I wonder if that was Zoeb.

lol retarded

BMW of Fremont gave me a car without plates and it didn't have a sticker in the window

Car is currently registered according to the cop, BMW of fremont just failed to put the stickers on

The trunk has plates in it with expired tags, so they for some reason didnt put the new stickers on, so instead they put dealer plates

I showed the cop the paperwork showing that I am authorized to drive the car, she trips out because the paperwork shows that I was supposed to return the car on the 4th of July, but the parts werent in so I just had the loaner the whole time

She eventually let me go, told me to tell my advisor to get it taken care of lol

I usually ride on Iron Horse Trail in the East Bay, or go to that trail that runs along Foster City / San Mateo / Redwood City. Don't know the name of that trail, runs along the bay most of the time. My GF lives in Daly City so sometimes we ride along Ocean Beach. I'm nearly never on the actual road, cuz IMO it's dangerous and I only bike for recreation, not to ever get anywhere per se. I might get on the streets here and there, but really try to stay off of them. I do ride with my coworkers in Palo Alto sometimes and we'll be on the road in the bike lane, but definitely not my preference. Just too easy to get run over, especially with drivers like me. :P

Nice Bianchi. I may end up getting a real road bike later, but I got the Pista as a cheapo starter first. It's simple, nothing to maintain, and on flat trails it's fine as a single speed. The aggressive position gives me some neck and shoulder pain though and I still need to get fitted to it and work up to some distance I'm comfy in.

I also just bought an Electra Townie. It's a comfort road bike and it's awesome so far. It's like a fast cruiser with gears and fat road tires. Got it super super cheap as it was on sale and has a few blemishes on it.

Only got crap pics to show...

Just looked up the Iron Horse trail. Looks pretty sweet. Are you able to pick up decent speed on the trail, or are there often a lot of pedestrians & equestrians? I don't really ever make it out to the east bay much at all, but i may have to check out that trail sometime.

I also looked up the trail that runs through redwood city. Looks like a nice little scenic ride. Is it more like a slow cruise type trail?

Riding on the street doesn't phase me so much. I'm probably desensitized to it, since most of my riding is on downtown SF streets. Shit was nerve racking when i was first starting out. Now i'm used to it, and just learned how to predict and anticipate what drivers are going to do.

The trail is pretty wide and you can pick up speed, but I hardly ever I guess. I'm usually just cruising along, might hit 25mph or so when I push it on a stretch but that's maybe once in a blue moon. My average is usually in the teens, about 15 or 16mph. When I ride with my GF it's usually around 10mph. Hahaha. But that works for us, just doodling along the trail to get some exercise in.

The trail in redwood city is a lot narrower and has more people in my experience and is more difficult to pass, but weather is good when it's too hot in the east bay.

the one that runs along the san mateo bridge? it's called the foster city/san mateo trail, lol, seriously. have you tried going down into the marshes? you can get a spectacular view but your brake pads will get all fk'ed up with sea shells. nice long coastal ride though
