I wish I could work it for tomorrow... supposed to snow and I am running my summers and supposed to go down to finish the tune with Tony. Do you think having really cold summer tires is gonna effect the dyno? I'm kinda thinking I might try to hold off if it will.

tires won't affect the dyno at all. I'd be more worried if you were running winters on the dyno and going past the speed rating.

you don't think? I'd figure if there isn't much traction you'll lose some power.

I think you're tires will fine but I see why your concerned. I think the tires are wide enough and it can handle the torque.

You s/b able to get it that hot np. As a benchmark of what is hot and not with an oil cooler eqipped 335xi, I did a couple hundred mile HIGHLY spiriited run with my bike group on Sat and it nudged just a c*nt hair beyond 240.

I bet you could get to 300 with a just a few back to back dyno runs. Especially if you shut the fan off.

Update. No oil cooler for me. Spoke with BMW again today and they said they would not install this since my car is not running hot. So, going to pick up the car this week and see what happens. I guess when it is 100 degress outside, we will see what happens. I have been told that 300 is the magic number and 250 degrees is very normal for this car to run at. We will see.....
John, great idea!!
