So I have 30.0.2 software in my car. Am I correct in believing that the new 1.2 chip on the JB3 will not throw codes unless on the real high maps like 7? This is another internal battle I have. I have nearly two years left on the factory warranty and don't want to void it.

ohh. I had a steering column lock problem and they corrected it with a software update.

Nah, I came damn close to getting a 328xi but happened across a 335i for the same price and made the leap. To be brutally honest, it was my first BMW and I didn't fully realize the difference between the 328 and the 335 other than the fact that I knew in some way the 335 was a step up somehow. Regardless, a BMW is a BMW and that is all that matters.

very true i have a friend who has a 95 m3 and i really want to drive it. i wanna see and feel whats similar even tho the cars are years apart.
